02 Tacoma, fixed with curse words.
I changed the air filter on my DD 1999 camry one day and found a few chicken bones in the airbox WTF!! Our 2015 Camry, that was driven evreyday and kept in a garage had a massive mouse nest under the engine cover as well, popping that thing off is now part of my oil change routine. Funny part is, no rodents in my tacoma that gets driven less than 5000 miles a year these days, must be the smell of gear lube that has soaked into the cab along with evreything under the hood being covered in powersteering fluid.

Oooooh...but you didn't have a rear driveshaft in when the CV broke? weird, guess it was already on it's way out.

Yeah I can see your issue now...if you're only relying on the front driveshaft to get around then you're SOL if you busted a front axle.

not really anything you can do that I can think of except replace it where it is, or get it towed somewhere.

It ain't hard getting the spindle undone to get to where the CV would be. I just feel like you might run into some rusted bolts.

May as well get your LT kit installed since its one of those "you're already there" kind of things

Nope, just have to unzip the axle nut then undo the 4 lower ball joint bolts so you can swing the spindle out of the way. Pop the old cv out using a pry bar between the CV and the diff. Put new CV in with C-clip facing down (?) as far as you can by hand.

Thread the axle nut on to the new CV then hammer it in the rest of the way. Put spindle back into place and bolt in the LBJ again. Replace any front diff gear oil that spilled out

axle nut torque is 174 ft/lbs, lbj bolts 59 ft/lbs
