Deals on X2 Power (Northstar) Batteries at Batteries+

Thats beyond my knowledge but I know of people who do it once a month and others who do it weekly. For those going more monthly they are typically running a full time solar setup to keep the charge up the rest of the time.

 

Hmm. Mine ends up being $288 plus a $20 mail in rebate so $268. Still a good deal but wish it was $227. About to install a winch so was thinking about upgrading from stock battery

 

Oh wait, I'm looking at a 27F not a 24F. Derp

 

Dang why do things always go on sale after I buy it? Good battery though. I run the 27F on a single battery setup in my GX470. It kept my ARB fridge running in the Eastern Oregon heat. I use the Noco Genius 5 battery charger to top it off at least once a month.

 

With the tow package they do, the non tow package 2nd gens had 24s.

The "tune" is a voltage regulator because AGMs prefer to be charged at a higher voltage than the LA batteries our trucks come with. That said, I've run a massive group 31 AGM in my truck for 2 years and havent had a single problem with charging related issues.

 

There's 2nd gens without the tow package?!?

 

I think it was mainly a non-TRD option. I believek all the Sports and ORs had the tow pack from the factory.

Just picked up my X2 27F from batteries plus and ordered HKB voltage regulator on ebay. Credit card immediately got flagged cause ordering from AUS lol

 

Doesnt work on 3rd gens, The voltage is controlled by the ECU. It does work on 2nd gens.

 

Ordered online last night at 12:30. Picked up and installed today.

Also, I don’t think it’s exclusive to X2 Power. Pretty sure it works on all auto batteries.

 

I already have the X2Power 27f as my house battery, and told myself when I needed to replace the starter battery, I'd get the same so they'd be interchangeable.
