Suppose you could make one, he's the only guy I know making those. If you have a welder you could weld new position stops on the stock bar.

Yeah, i could weld it’s up. I like the aluminum and adjustable idea. Maybe I’ll just weld it up for now and then buy one if it comes available

Started this on Friday. Should have the stuff on Tuesday. New upper and lower ball joints, new rotors and pads. Messed up passenger rotor and decided to go all in.638755A5-C9E9-45AE-AC8C-407B8E393AA5.jpgC10F85E0-F8D0-45BE-9358-0BA819C09B98.jpg

Cleaned up the front of my frame and repainted it, will be plating more of it at a later date. Also installed my 5100's with 2880s, and upgraded to Tundra brakes.

Did the timing belt, etc. Big thanks to @turbodb for the comprehensive guide and @Timmah! for the excellent video. This was my first timing belt job and my buddy's (the guy on the right in the first photo) first real automotive project. Probably took us a solid 12 hours including running into some small snags - learned a lot about getting the timing belt tensioner off and on...easy in retrospect but it was a PITA with rounded off bolts and before figuring out the exact combination of extensions to get in there easily. Otherwise...things went pretty smoothly. We took our time, labeled everything and got it done.

Here we are getting started, displaying manliness to the wife (also hiding our extreme uncertainty about what we were getting ourselves into).

Then spent a bunch of timing making sure the timing was dialed in. Kept second guessing ourselves but got it lined up and committed to keep going. Finally got to the end and to the moment of truth. Turned the key and it fired right up. Breathed huge sigh of relief and finished out the remainder of the job.

I'm mostly just surprised it was another 1st gen, TBH I think we make up a small segment of TW and I figured choosing the banner would be more political (appeal to the majority type shit).

That's probably cause we're not a bunch of dipshits like the 3rd gen guys.

    2nd gen guys are OK.

Good time to mention I'm buying a 2nd gen? :anonymous:

If you get a 2nd Gen keep your 1st Gen. You'll appreciate both of them for different reasons.

Jiggle Valve believer here. Engine was running @ 206 degrees per scan gauge. Replaced OEM Harrison 17 years old with a new Denso, moved thermostat to 6 o clock position and added a Long 4589 transmission cooler. On my drive to work today, max Engine temp was 194 and max ATF was 160 degrees. Previously my ATF would reach a max of 204 on my drive home. Glimpse of ATF cooler is above.

Dang. Whoever had those before ran those things into the ground. Those shock shafts got reaaaally hot at one point. That discoloration is wild.

Yeah man they looked like total shit but surprisingly the shafts were in pretty good condition. Very little pitting

Trying to find a camper shell for a RCSB taco to protect that pack out is next to impossible.
