I’m honestly not sure which version I have. After reading your post I poked around on here and it looks like there’s multiple versions of the TSB to address the shifting issue? I had a TSB done for the transmission what seems like a couple years ago, I feel like maybe the first one that was released? Regardless, I’m sitting at 105k on the ODO now so i’m well past it being covered under warranty. I do remember the shifting substantially improving after the TSB was installed but it never was really ideal and now that I’m driving around on E rated KO’2 with an extra 300-500 lbs constantly in the bed I’ve gotten so used to hitting the ECT button with the ignition button it’s subconscious. I almost work it like its a two button ignition, hitting the ignition button with my thumb while simultaneously hitting the ECT button with my middle finger.

I had a 2016 stock trim and it was sluggish with terrible shifting (auto)
Currently I have a 2020 DC 4*4 off-road with 35" tires and 5.29 gearing. Truck is actually enjoyable to drive, acceleration and low end power was increased immensely. I'm cruising in 6th gear at about 45 @ 1900rpm.
Would love to get shift locking as I drive this thing like it's a BRZ.
Does anyone know if the OVtune or whatever it's called now can fix the speedo? I'm exactly 10% off on mph.
Is this still a product that would be recommend? Are there any better options for tuning? It appears OVtune has has some customer service issues as of late? I don't want to jump onto a sinking ship here....

Gear locking is available once the new files are released.

it cannot modify speedo. Most people use hypertech module for that

I highly recommend tuning. It’s been one of the best things i did for my truck.

not currently any other options for 3rd gen tuning

I’ve never had an issue with customer service over the last 3 years. Sometimes it may take a day or more for a response depending on what you need and how many other tickets there currently are.

the ship definitely isn’t sinking and will be around for years to come. You’ve got nothing to worry about.

I only had to turn my windows firewall/antivirus off one time. Windows keeps wanting to me to turn it back on but I tell it to go fuck itself.

In my experience using CC, when setting it for 65MPH and hitting an incline, the speed drops to ~63MPH and the truck downshifts to 5th gear.

Then the truck appears to start increasing speed back toward the set point of 65MPH. But, before reaching the set point, the ECU determines that its still not at the set point and immediately downshifts to 4th gear.

If the ECU was more patient and waited a few more moments, the truck would have reached its set point and not have to downshift to 4th.

With that said, not every incline is the same, but I notice the initial drive back to the set point is cut short quite often.

So, I've quit using CC as often as I have been. My commute is hilly and there are some large stretches of level hwy. Now I use use CC on the level stretches, while my foot and HUD do the rest.HUD.jpg

It could also be that the throttle was gradually opening more and more while below setpoint until a load threshold was reached that caused the additional downshift. Not sure if the CC parameters are adjustable in vF. Can you log the throttle position to determine what it was doing?

I’ve also noticed the same behavior with mine using cruise control. Works great on flat or very slight incline. Anything over a slight I just kick it off and I can hold the speed going up the hill without it dropping all the way to 4th.
