@Tour991 you've torn apart alot of these 4 banger tacos... are the exhaust hangers between the 96-00 the same as the 01-04?




Would running 2 CATs on an older ECU (that only had 1 stock) screw with anything?

 

I have the mini tube header thing I bought for an 02 3rz. Everything after that is the stock setup from the 98.

I haven't bought anything else new yet. Trying to take care of this P0420 code and figured I should replace the rest of the exhaust system when I put a new cat in

I don't like the standard ubolt looking muffler clamps and prefer the look and feel of those band clamps... any issue with running those instead?

 

Sure, I was about to comment on what you should take a look at. Gimme a sec to look, was helping a buddy with a window regulator

 

Not a problem take your time... it's convenient when someone else spoon feeds you info but if i can make your job feeding me easier, imma try

 

So what's your budget, cause I think you can do better and if you have some stuff it can be reused. Like your downpipe is still reusable and I would totally take a rusty stock piece of stainless over that kink bent walker shit. And you can totally get better gaskets just as cheap locally from Felpro at any AutoZone. The straight piping is fine and the muffler will last a season or three, but I would probably use the stocker if it still is intact. But you can easily replace just the muffler if your piping is still bueno. I can't explain how crappy the Walker stuff is, the CATs are passable but they don't last long, I call em 2 year guaranteed at most.

 

I mean I'm local if you just wanna show it to me haha
