Really fond of those cast manifolds! If you have some wrap, nows the time!

Do we know those turbo blankets will fit? I may just dupe that cart.

Are you wrapping the downpipes our just the manifolds?

I’d love to see that all wrapped up if you have a moment for a picture.

I've been wondering if I need/want exhaust wrap and the turbo blankets since I live in the desert or if it's whatever. Just going base kit, not 20+ psi like you are

The blankets should fit fine. the exhaust turbine housings didn't change much in design for 17+, only the wastegate style (mechanical to electric), and some other small changes.

I planned on wrapping the downpipes...but If I have enough left I will do the manifolds too.

It's coming.. Mat said they are just finishing up at the CNC. It looks pretty sweet.

Powermax and base turbos are essentially the same housing and dimensions correct? Wouldn’t the best route be the PTP Powermax designed blanket?

Yes they are nearly identical, the powermax just having larger wheel trims. Externally they look the same.

the only blanket I see is for the powermax duramax, which won't work.

This may be random, but turbo folks may be interested just for sole reason that it’s fun to look at.
I have access to 3.5 EB, here’s shot of the turbos.

i was going to say the same exact thing but figured his ring should be the last thing I was looking at. But yah, I have the same titanium ring too, exact, 20 years old.

LoL! Those pumps looks suspiciously familiar. :D Denso and Bosch making similar spec parts.

Sorry! Not saying anything bad or even comparing quality. It just looks like a pump that I am a bit too familiar with. Heck, the guts on the DW site look similar. I like what they are saying about the impeller.

The Bosch and others are used in everything, it seems. Duc was robbing peeps for $450 for the assembly. A/M folks were asking $150 for the same $20 to $40 part.

    :hattip:
