If by "models" you mean generations, then yeah. It's for 2016+.

Yeah that’s basically what I was looking for. If this is just the norm for Tacoma’s and if it requires me putting the petal to the metal and getting those RPMs up. In all the vehicles I’ve driven that’s just not really the norm. All the trucks are a little different from cars and I know all that. It was funny I was just comparing this to the Hummer as you have to floor that thing to get it to even move. I’m not used to having to get those RPMs up high

no, that's not what i mean. It is not available for a 2019 or 2020 2.7L auto. which is one of the most common trucks.

It is MUCH better than original tune. They just forgot how bad it was. The original tune was so bad, i had to buy a pedal commander just to drive it. Once i got 04B04, i sold the pedal commander. OVT is as big of a jump as it was going from 04BO2 to 04B04. Is OVT perfect? No, but miles better.

the old 3.4 with a cable throttle was much more responsive. Toyota really dumbed down the throttle on the new taco's (my 2011 4.0 was bad, but the 2017 3.5 was worse) compared to my old 3.0 and 3.4's. Get the new TSB's in, or a tune, and you will enjoy your truck alot more.

I get that and didn't buy my Taco for speed but it would be nice to have a bit more get up and go. My father in law has a new Ranger Lariat FX4 and I was surprised by the power out of the 2.3L EcoBoost.

Right! I didn’t buy mine for speed either. I don’t need it to outrun the police. I just need it to allow me to safely merge onto a freeway without getting run over. I have my car for speed.

Why would anyone need to lie about the 0-60 times for a POS Nissan Altima?

It's not "light speed faster" than your Tacoma, it's just different.

SR... 6.1 sec 14.5 sec @ 98.9 mph ...Motor Trend

All the dealers around here won't let you go for a test ride that goes for more than a mile. I was lucky enough to do a ride up to the next traffic light, then around the block back to the parking lot.
At any the v6 in my truck is pretty snappy as long as you tell it to be.

That doesn’t make much sense atleast in regards to precaution of COVID. Why would it matter if your in the truck for a mile or ten your still in it? And sure you could go for a ride without a salesman. Not to knock you at all just seems silly of the dealership.

I find my taco fine for around town daily driving but when you really need it to respond fast in high stress situations i.e. passing or changing lanes in rush hour traffic, merging or when making a quick left turn at an intersection it can really lag out then blast off which is unpredictable and can be scary.

V6 pickup truck. Personally, I could care less. Scoots down the highway at 75 mph perfectly fine.

    Work in progress...
Ford had that "Drive a Ford for the School" thing going. My wife insisted I go down and drive a Ford because the schools will get money from Ford. I drove the new Ranger. The guy riding along was as surprised as I was how quick that Ranger is....

I don't have the least bit issue with changing lanes, or passing. My truck has some instant giddy-up from 45 mph to warp drive when it needs to, no lag at all. At a stop light taking a quick left turn, yeah, it is a bit hesitant not wanting to spin the tires like my tundra use to light them up, but i wouldn't call it a turd.
