Yea but it was kinda fun

The front end was done over the first week of June, the timing belt, rad and O2 gasket over Canada day.

Got it at 106,400 now at 115,500 - 3000KM on the belt - Got that bolt to the full 217ftlbs - Ate my Wheaties that day. The eBay pully holder turned into jello at 160ft/lbs - Went full Red Green with a 2x6 and bolts and clicked over to 217ft lbs.

back in 2011 did the James Bay road and took the road to Waskaganish, there was a guard house upon entering the town, and one upon entering the James Bay road, there was no stores that we could see and we stopped at the water's edge. People were loading up their kids in pick up trucks and driving by us like we were to new exhibit in town. It was an uneasy feeling but we should of reached out also and we did not.(inexperience travelers) We did get gas there and were asked a couple of times if we wanted any meat. Again we were to inexperienced to know how to deal with the locals, so we just said no. I would love to do this trip again and hopefully there will be an organized adventure to James bay. Its only a 17 hour drive if I can remember correctly....

Cool trip. Being only 17 hours away is making it a possibility with the kids. I have been to Moosonee on the Polar Bear express and have worked with indigenous people before. I am just worried about the community not being so accepting of visitors at this time (and i would not want to intrude). My cousin has a cottage on leased land near Manitoulin Island and the natives have banned non tribe members for accessing the area since March.

I totally get it and your sensitivity to the issue is spot on. Good for you for thinking of them and how they would feel.

Easiest way to find out if they will let you in or recommend travel to their communities is to contact them directly. Waskaganish.ca or call them at 819-895-8650 ext 3237

Thought it would be cool to have my member name on the truck. Now I can be identified on my next "hit and run".
    Thanks @Taco1992
