Not at all it’s non slip and chemical resistant. I installed it via tape method. So it’s essentially a floating floor. We use this method for areas to avoid moisture systems and I know my slab needs one to do a glue down method. 39”x39” tiles 3mm thick. It’s leftover from a job from 2015 and we are cleaning our warehouse up so I took it home.

hey guys, hoping to get some opinions in here. Have a bathroom floor that drops 3/4 inch in 3ft that im trying to level back out. The toilet sits on the high side. Self-leveling cement the best way?

I thought about shimming and using plywood but i really dont want to deal with the toilet raising above the flange either

Plan is to just use vinyl stick on tiles 12"x12" for the time being.

Right side of the photo is low, just in front of the vanity is where it evens out. Vanity is close enough to level

Being the low side is the spot where one would drip after shower, I'd wonder how the subfloor is. Could be the ply below got wet and compressed. But let others with more experience chime in.

it has been wet previously but the main issue is the wall isnt really built over a supporting joist and theres a vaulted ceiling below in the master bedroom. the low side is along the entire wall.

i decided to try self-leveler. caulked all the holes and built barriers last night. if i can get some of the 3/4 inch out ill be happy.

2500sqft house weve gutted and trying to move into beginning of october. Its been a busy august.

was away 2 weeks. Wife said Ziva the Diva refused to do her business in the backyard. Welp, when the grass is taller than she is I’d be a little picky too. The dog is particular on her area of the yard she goes and wouldn’t in the bare area shown as she likes laying under the tree there. It rained pretty much every day here while I was away and I cut it right before I left town 15 days ago

    Big job.

The bath tile looks sketchy too. Is that on the agenda? What's on the other side? Could you remove some drywall for an inspection?

Pretty sure the tile is just dirty in the picture. The outside wall is on the shower back wall. Theres a room on the right side (which is where most of the joist is located) i tried peeling back the duct vent to get a look but there wasnt much to see.

Yeah its been a big job for sure. We closed on it the 31st. Single owner and smoked in for the past 40 years almost. Scraped popcorn ceiling, ripped up carpet and all flooring, kilz everything in sight, clear out overgrown brush (just shy of an acre plot), screwed down all the subfloor, ripped off the rear deck, finally getting some walls painted and finding other bs stuff. Fixing this floor, installing laminate on our entry level (kitchen/dining room/entry), new deck and stuff like that are the major stuff left. Deck is going to wait till after move in though.

Another 13-1500 unfinished basement too. Not too shabby coming from our 900-1000sqft house.

Well im 90% sure i know the plywood just hasnt supported the wall like it should. Its just going to have to be another project for another day unfortunately

Definitely and sweat equity. Weve had a lot of help from our parents and friends came to help too so cant claim it all.

Much much better. Took about 2.5 hrs to do front and back with my wife doing the edging at same time. Didn’t get to the flowerbeds in front tho, far too hot. Don’t mind the terrible non-OCD lines. Was more worried about getting it to proper length this week. I’ll make it more pretty next weekend haha.

Anyone have recommendations on a large deck self propelled mower? My little Toro is definitely getting a bit much for a larger lot and considering adding a larger one to the arsenal.

ripping up the old and worn out laminate wood flooring this weekend and putting in "Luxury" Vinyl Plank. Shouldn't be too difficult. Have a few cracks in the slab to patch and some old thinset to remove but so far the slab is looking rather level.

I like the plank flooring. Pretty durable under the husky claws.
