What’s the best way to add a red dot sight onto a Ruger SR1911? Replace the rear sight with the adapter plate?

Better than I thought. The top of the holster is snug to the dash so the pull is pretty easy.

Mine is mounted the same way. The draw is pretty effortless

Good to know! I want to order a set for my GX470. They don’t have much usable storage from the factory.

Got a few questions for a new applicant in Massachusetts. I am looking to apply for a LTC for range shooting and hunting with my father in-law as well as just home defense. When doing the application, is it better to apply for 'Unrestricted' or 'Target/Hunting'. Is there some sort of restriction on the 'Target/Hunting' license. Appreciate any input and other tips on this as I'll be a first time applicant. Thanks

This is entirely correct, which is why i'm hoping I never have to use it for more than local run and gun stuff. Nonetheless, it'll live in my truck in case getting home requires more than just a nice word.

have to wonder though if you had it in the truck, what are the actual chances youd actually have it on before you truly encounter that scenario? just food for thought

Slim chance I (or he) need it but better to have it....
In my case I live about half an hour from where I work (different city) if shit happens and I find out that there are riots in part of the city that I live in you bet your ass I’m putting on my plate carrier and putting my SBR in the passenger seat for the ride home if going home seems like a plausible option.

Picked up a Larue MB2S to finish my SPR build. USPS lost my BA barrel I bought in the second hand market so no found a unfired WOA 18" 1:7 223 Wylde barrel for cheap.

Striek eagle showed up and looks amazing too sitting in the Larue LT204

This kit will get posted here a bit more, but it's mainly everything I need to walk home the long way, get to my GF/get her out of a dangerous place, or muster for Roof Korean duty, due to mass traffic events or otherwise. I figure anything even remotely combative I'm likely to encounter (home defense or self defense while out) will almost certainly be situations my EDC is all the prep I'm going to get.

Well I just ordered the trigger after deciding that over a Geiselle SSA-E. For the price I couldn't pass it up.

The barrel was shipped this morning so I'll have it by the end of the week :D and the upper just got to the mail box a little while ago so I'm still waiting

I'll post what it looks like with the BCA upper later. I'm also looking for the best grip for precision ar. I'm not thinking as crazy as a MDT vertical grip but something with a decent tilt. Maybe a B5 type 23 or similar
