Will 2017 OEM factory Tacoma tonneau cover fit a 2020 model year?

Hi All,
New member here! I am about to purchase a 2017 OEM factory Tacoma hard tonneau cover and want to know if it will fit my 2020 Tacoma. The seller has all the mounting hardware but I wanted to get some thoughts and suggestions first before I buy it. Thanks all!

Yes, it will. The box itself is slightly different, but that doesn't affect the tonneau cover since that mounts to the rails of the bed.

 

Yes it will fit as make sure it’s for your Bed size long bed or short Bed that’s the only difference FYi I bought one off a 2018 long Bed works Great on my 2020 see photo

Have any issues with it? Does the OEM cover seem secure and durable?

 

Yes jump on it the long bed oem covers are hard to find most are the short bed out there for sale FYi enjoy love mine

 

Yes very tuff & Durable i keep a 10mm socket in the glove to unbolt the security bolt that keeps it locked to the Bed so no one can steal them works Great! It’s like having a camper shell without the tall shell on your truck I like the look as well the Functionality of it.but some people don’t to each his own enjoy it.i do

 

I got it all set up and love it! Seems highly durable and makes truck look good. I am worried though that it could be stolen, simply by undoing the 10mm security bolt. Did anyone have any issues with that before??

They can’t steal it because you have to unlatch it from the inside & if you lock the tail gate handle they can’t open tail gate to get access to it the 10mm bolt is just for extra Protection from blowing off the truck If you have it open folded back to haul something that’s all FYi For the 2019 2020 Tacoma only there is a Remote tailgate accessory from Toyota that you can have installed & locks the tail gate with your power door lock remote I got it done works great! Cover is useless without the hardware. Thieves will need to take the time to steal the mounting hardware also.

 

Lock your tailgate and u should be good .

 

Sure enjoy it.i enjoy mine everyday I use it won’t be getting rid of mine it’s one of the last Tacoma’s built here in Texas USA all Tacoma’s from now on will be built in Mexico & it’s so hard to get a 6 speed manual I won’t be giving that up

 

It does fit I did it to my truck, I also have a 2020 and bought from a 2017.
