If it’s a work specific vehicle, I might be tempted but if it’s a daily driver, no way. You’ll miss the extras.

I understand the desire to go to an Access Cab. If it was a SR5, it'd be very tempting. However there's a lot of "nice to have" things that a SR5 has but a SR is missing. If I was you, I'd hang on to the OR.

I say don't trade you will miss all the goodies you have now. The prices will go down once the dealer have their stock back and 2021 is right around the corner.

I "traded down" from a 2015 Trail 4Runner to a 2020 TRD O/R DCSB and regret it. Don't get me wrong, I like the Taco, but LOVED the 4R. Is it just the access cab and bed that's got you interested in trading? Price-wise, we're talking $400 and new-car smell. It's a tough choice man - I don't envy you (first-world problems, am I right?). At the bare bones you're trading a longer bed, some nice to have tech and 20K miles (which is nothing) for a smaller cab, less tech (maybe) and 0 miles. Ultimately - you need to do what fits YOU best, if it's just an opinion hunt - don't do it...you'll miss the old truck. In a few years you'll be in a much better position to trade, the loan to value ratio will be further in your favor. GOOD LUCK and KEEP US POSTED!

Long bed. Plus, a lot of people don't have kids nor fat friends/family.

Did you tell yourself when you bought the truck that you would have it lots of years after the payments were done?

If yes, then stick to your plan and not give the rest of us Tacoma owners a black eye by pissing your money away. I like to think we are above average when it comes to finances. Don't disappoint me.

The dealer only wants to get you to keep making payments. It's really how they make money.

If I were you, I would trade it in on and RV. That way you have something you can take a stealth dump in, and keep your bike locked up at the same time.

You don't have to miss it. It is still here in all its glory.

How to take a stealth dump in the bed of the truck?

OP, think of the trade in that you got basically got free use of your 2018 for 2 years, and upgrading to a newer 2020 Access Cab with full warranty and the 6ft long bed that you originally wanted. All that technology crap on the higher-end models is just something that will eventually go wrong, and be expensive to fix.

I get wanting the long bed access can fit camping if you want to sleep in the bed of your truck. I looked at doing that a year ago before further modding my truck but couldn’t make the finances work. If it wouldn’t be such a hassle to take everything off I’d too it today but not for an SR...would have to be SR5 or better.

Does the dealer know about your bed crapping fetish? I would keep that to yourself. They might offer less.

I agree about the extras they are a plus but I would feel bad about putting any one over 10 years old in the back seat of either truck. About a week after buying mine I removed the console in my access cab and made a carpeted platform that covered the seats for storage I'll take the longer bed over 4 doors any day.
