So got a couple of small mods done this past weekend:

    1. Front license plate holder installed:

    Favorite college plate (Hotty Toddy!):

    20200815_095455.jpg

    2. Saw these on here on either this forum or another. Someone linked these to Amazon. Not really anything functional, but works on making things "more uniform" in being blacked out:

    20200815_101453.jpg

    3. My @MESO black door handles came in. Other than the mirror control knob, the "de-chroming" of the interior is basically done.

20200818_071945.jpg changed the front camera as the old one was foggy and after opening it notice a design flaw allowing condensation in. This one, although not as discrete, does have better night vision and in general better overall. I do miss the wider view somewhat but that is not a deal breaker for me. Still does what it needs to do and this one seems like it will not fog up the same way. 20200815_142321.jpg
Picture taken before adjusting the angle of the camera. 20200810_155436.jpg
Old camera view... foggy. Doesn't look as bad in picture but it was bad as it did not adjust well to lighting conditions in low light garage parking etc. 20200817_150330.jpgNew camera view. Not the best picture just a reference of the view.

It doesn't take that long to chamber a around, it can be done fairly quickly after drawing with practice. But I think that a lot of people don't realize that it's not the "time" that it takes to chamber a round that is the real issue, it's that it requires two hands. If you are drawing your gun to shoot someone in self-defense, you may be fighting for your life at that point. Your other hand could be shielding your face from being punched, or holding a knife away from your throat. That hand could be broken, stabbed, or pinned behind you, or someone could be grabbing that arm, or you could be holding onto something, trying not to fall. Or something as simple as holding a flashlight. There's a lot of bad, unexpected things that can happen in that situation, and it's not going to be like shooting at the range. One handed, that gun is about as good to you as a paperweight.

I agree its up to what people are comfortable with, and how familiar they are with the weapon they carry. My main carry weapon is a Sig P239, which is double action on the first pull and single action on every shot after that. I'm pretty familiar with how much weight and effort it takes for that first pull, and I'm not worried about it someone going off while carrying it. Basically the same concept as your revolver. I used to carry a 1911 when I lived up north, and while carrying locked and cocked didn't make me nervous, but it definitely required some extra concentration taking it out of the holster and lowering the hammer down to put it away.

I followed your link over to Amazon and went to click on the "LIKE" button but they didn't have one so I hit "Buy Now" instead and now they are ordered.

Oh well, that's how these things go sometimes. It actually finishes the look and who knows what sort of holy-terror can befall these inner door Doo-Hickies if we don't protect them.
