I was considering selling my truck to move to a new Tundra + Nomad combo...But looks like I wouldn’t get a Nomad for a while!

All you guys waiting for your campers, just hang on tight. Its so worth it!!! The waits the worst part but the guys are doing their best.

That being said, if anyone has a Nomad they wanna swap for a Drifter...send me a DM (My Drifter is not for sale please do not message me asking...hehe)!

When you guys mention your wait time, can you please include your order number so those of us after you don't have to go searching previous pages and making post like this? I am order 180 placed on October 1st and was just guessing January now. Super anxious to order my 8020 and start my build out but don't really have a place to store it.

Have you been contacted to finalize options/final invoice/etc at this point? Any idea how close yours is to complete?

Sorta? I have been in contact with Phil in recent weeks. As he posted on here, they were waiting on parts that I am hoping they have now arrived. I assume that my Drifter is in the next batch that is being worked on, but I am still waiting to hear on actual timing. Also, I am waiting on Phil to finalize my invoice so I can get the remainder of my balance paid.

I feel for the VO crew though. They have had some trouble with their supply chain and I know they want to be getting these campers out the door just as bad as we want them on our trucks. And while I have definitely had moments of getting impatient, I know they are doing everything they can. And when I do hear from Phil, my decisions to order a Drifter and continue being patient are totally validated.

Wait til you meet the crew, you'll see how hard they're working and make you appreciate the love that goes into these!

I'm ready to order the Drifter for a Tacoma 5' , but can't seem to get to the original credit information where I pay a bit over half to secure my spot. Please email me. I spoke to Phil a couple of weeks ago and have tried calling back but the voicemail is full. I'm hoping to get this ordered, truck bed built out, etc... for when I retire to travel the country, yeah I'm that old :) and love the outdoors. Heard constant positive feedback on Vagabond and looking forward to being part of the family. Someone from Vagabond please contact me.

Ha! Just watched your video yesterday on YouTube to keep me sane :)

Thanks for doing this. I started trying to do this when I ordered but just couldn't keep up/care... until the COVID delays. Now I'm checking this post weekly. So excited, working on the many small projects so I can hit the ground running. Just installed a Offgrid Split Dual Battery, waiting for my LiFePO4 battery to get here :) Hope it fits! If it does I'll post about it in the build out thread; I haven't seen an under the hood LiFePO4 battery install in my research yet.

The buildout/mod page will help you pass some time and also have some insight on what others thought about regarding battery choices and placement in their buildout.
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/vagabond-drifter-camper-buildout-and-mods.540940/
In short for me if I get a LiFePO4 battery it will go in the bed for heat protection; both summer and especially wintertime when cold is more of an issue.

I am sure it will work in the engine bay, it just needs some monitoring and protection to help get the most life out of it. Lots of us on these pages would love to see what you come up with going the engine bay route.

+1 on batteries going in the bed (or anywhere cooler than the engine bay).
