Or you could go the steel stick putty. I always keep some handy. Tested some out by using a bit on the bottom of a flashlight and leaving it on my sups desk overnight. He was not happy

Hey OP - I think this is the grill you are referring to..
    the TRD Pro Grille

I got a knock off, on here from a group buy for my 2nd gen.
It was maybe 200 shipped and good quality/solid; had plenty of good reviews from prior takers, been too hot until this past week so I hadn't put it on yet.

Or a sawzall and/or a welder. A Chevrolet LSx will probably fit just fine.

I've looked at the pro grill. The color is what I want but not a fan of the look

as a general rule of thumb
Most 3rd gen body parts are interchangeable with other 3rd gens.
Most 3rd gen suspension stuff is interchangeable with 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas
there are some things here and there that are interchangeable between other Toyota brands like the aforementioned fog lights and radio knobs and stuff but nothing big or substantial.
Since you don't know what JB Weld is I won't tell you that anything can be made to fit with time/knowledge/effort. That's not a bash on you though cause most people don't have the time or patience to do stuff beyond basic bolt ons. The 4runner conversion is not an easy conversion at all as none of the body panels match in any way but I believe there is a guy making fiberglass fenders/hood to do the conversion although I was never able to find a website or company name when I looked into it a few years ago, it is a damn good looking conversion though
