Like the title says, I need some ideas. I've narrowed it down to either Habachi Japan, or possibly Olive Garden.

So, dinner was easy, but what to do after? ideas please!!

Yeah dinner is always a good starter. Now afterwords is where it gets tricky. There is a lot to think about, how long have you known her, do you know her likes and dislikes, things like that should come into play as well. But if she is pretty easy going and into you as well, it shouldnt really matter what you guys do afterwords as long as you enjoy each others company.;)

Well, met her on one of those quirky dating sites, been talking for a couple months. She seems easy going. I have a feeling we'll probably end up at a coffee shop somewhere. Theres still plenty to learn about her.

Olive Garden....then back to your place & turn the lights down low...Ok joking. A movie could work afterwards.

Disagree on the movie. If you guys are on your first date, you're going to want to go somewhere wehre you can talk. A Coffee shop is a good idea, or a casual bar. Keep it simple on the first date. Go somewhere where you're not trapped if the date is bad. A movie theater it an awkward place to have to cut a date short if it goes bad.

Thought process on the Movie is that a lot of talk will be done over dinner. That will be a good judge on how the night will go. The movie is a way out not to talk to her if it is going bad. If its that bad, text a friend and have them phone in a fake, "got called into work" emergency. If you talk a while at dinner, not sure how much is left to talk about afterwards.

Try to find out a little more about her before then. Does she like outdoors? A natural setting like a scenic park thing or lake river or waterfall? Hmmmm, OH, probably chilly, you said after dinner so dark, not sure what's around you. Does she dance? but that'll be loud. Moonlight stroll somewhere cool or coffee shop or some nice quieter type club or lounge, maybe at a nice hotel? she might get wrong idea about that tho...or not. Not really sure dude, have to feel it out and go with what you have to work with in your area. Caring enough to want to get to know her and impress her with your gentlemanly skills is always a good start. Open doors for her, walk on the street side of the sidewalk, listen intensely while making eye contact....all that stuff. Good luck & make it fun......................................................................If she's a keeper.

The Habachi Japan sounds like fun except you will not have any private time because they put a bunch of people at the same table. I kinda went for it with my wife. I met her the night before at a friends and called her and asked if she wanted to come over for dinner. I cooked stir-fry because she said she really liked it. Came to found out that she was allergic to soy later. ooops she still married me.

You need a bat cave. All women are impressed by bat caves. And hopefully you have plenty of open space in your batcave for activities such as basketball or checkers. then you can show off your athleticism and intelligence when you beat her in both. she will then be yours forever.

Or you could just take her to a park and play on the swings. that worked well for me

You guys are hilarious. This girl isn't the one night stand kind of thing, more like take home to mom. I'm not doing a movie unless she really wants to, since its been done to death. Trying not to come on too strong, so I think a coffee shop would be nice. Its not going to be too cold outside, so a casual stroll along the riverfront might be good.

I wish it was summer, soooooo many fun things to do. I wish Ohio got more snow, a snowman would be in order!

On a side note, a buddy of mine came up with carving pumpkins with one of his gf's, too bad its not October anymore.

On a side note, the basement is my bat cave, fridge, big TV, comfy couch :)

God no, dont take her to Olive Garden. I'd find a family owned place for sure on a first date. Make it casual, relaxing and fun. Olive Garden is too corporate and busy, and is better suited for when you two have been together for a lil bit.

EDIT: afterwards, maybe someone else can chime in, but Jager Bombs usually does the trick :anonymous:

Pack up a dinner and take her wheeling out in the snow or ??. set up a dinner table with chairs, candles, ect, out in the sticks, then drive out to it. She will be impressed.

    Worked for me,;).
