    I cant follow that.

When youre cruisin mormon well road and decide its boring ao you lay on the throttle and hit 70 mph down a backwoods road skipping ditches and jumping roots, drifting xorners for 40 miles. Air up and back on the highway as if you never did it. Smooth as a caddi.
Vegas guys know what im talking about.

Nothing before 250k and nothing I didn't break treating it like a tank. It had been convertibleized, lowered, shaved door handles, t boned in the bed, built back as prerunner even switching out the convertible cab with a junkyard uncut one. Never had anything break prematurely or without abuse. No stupid seal problems at 50k. Nothin but get in and go every time without issue......................all wear items aside. Sold it in 09 fully functioning when the 05 was purchased. Regret not keeping it and turning the speedo back to 0 after hitting a million miles. But it was regular cab, no leg room or way to lean seat back, was time for a change and the wife baited me with the 05 AC and I decided to finally part with it...:(

most people can't keep a vehicle that long cause they get bored with em. I include myself in that group. It has taken me a long time to realize you lose money everytime you swap vehicles.

LOL. I was the same way. In '04 I bought a Grand Am fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. Thought it was a good idea. I always missed driving the Tacoma. Four years later, I sold the Grand Am and went back to my '99 Taco. So many people couldn't understand why I'd sell the 4 year old car and go back to driving a 9 year old truck. I'm sure everyone on here could though.lol

I got a new one from today... In auto class we were working on a truck identical to mine that wasn't starting. The kid working on it handed me the wrench in his hand and said here you're the toyota master you do this... I said shit I've never had the hood up on mine.

When other Tacoma drivers park next to you in parking lots. The other day I parked in front of the grocery store and walked in. When I came out there was a 1st gen on either side of me and I always park in the back of parking lots.
Looks like 1st genners stick together.
