Ok I'm in. Want to at least change the charging voltage for my AGM, but will probably want to change shift points too since I have 33s. Located about 45 minutes west of Danbury.

Can do as soon as the files are made available. Shift points with the 33" tire tune will be adjusted, but if fine tuning is required we can look into it. I was actually just in Danbury today and get down there from time to time. Regardless we can figure something out. I'll put you on my list to get in touch with when I have files if you would like.

What’s the power with this tune? I’m 33s lifted but don’t want to regear just yet lol

Haven't seen the latest dyno numbers, but with 93 (I believe that's what the numbers below were made with) it made ~50hp and 60ft-lbs at 4100 RPM. This was with the 1.05 tune, and there have been a lot of advancements with 2.0. The biggest difference you will notice almost immediately is the availability of power (no longer artificially limited) and improved shifting with the AT. MT has much better throttle predictability as well as no per-gear torque limits, similar to what I mentioned about the AT.

If you were expecting more, there's not much more you are going to get out of an NA motor. Intake won't do anything except maybe make more noise, and an exhaust has minimal impact from what I have seen/read. If you want big power, check out the twin snails from OVTune. :D:burnrubber:

That’s still a lot of goddamn power just from a tune? I have an automatic lift at 17 and I hate how he cuts off power. I go to Floor it and there’s at least a 1 to 2 second delay. Stupid factory programming lol

This is my biggest complaint with the stock calibration, and my original reason for getting the tune 3+ years ago now. Any added power was a bonus for me.

With the MT, you would get just enough power to get rolling in 1st, but if you gave it any more throttle it would just sit there and suddenly take off. Seriously dangerous in traffic.

Exactly, I mean I have an automatic but I experience the same thing. Sometimes I would be on the street or driving on the road or on the highway and I would want to merge into traffic or get up to speed and I would press the gas and it wouldn’t go for like two seconds and then all of a sudden boom. It’s very dangerous. Or I’ll go up a hill and go to press the gas and it will downshift and wait three seconds and then go. It’s awful the calibration of the transmission lol.
So you really recommend this? I mean I have a 17 lifted Tacoma with 72,000 miles so I’m out of my warranty. So I can do whatever I want to my truck haha. I would love to get this done I’m just making sure lol

I definitely recommend it. No question.

If you have larger tires or gears it can compensate the shift points for them.

No problem, just ping me when you're ready. Like I think I mentioned before, if there are several people not within a reasonable driving distance, we can arrange a meet up to get everyone tuned at the same time. I drive a lot for work, and don't mind traveling as long as it's only a couple/few hours.

Sounds good dude. I mean I don’t mind driving to you at all. I put 70 K on my truck in two years so driving is nothing for me haha

I'm back from vacation and have a couple trucks for Saturday in Enfield if anyone is interested. Even if you just want to see the process (very quick) you are welcome to stop by and chat.

I work during the week and usually have weekends off. I've got two people lined up for Saturday, but Sunday is open if you want to meet somewhere. If this weekend doesn't work, I travel a bunch for work and find myself in RI occasionally.

Sure, I'm in Providence and am about 45 mins from thompson, CT. If you have a place in mind I can meet. Feel free to message me as well if needed.

I've been wanting to have the OVtune done but don't really trust myself with it. Considering you've been doing it for years and on multiple trucks this is great.

I'll be in NH Saturday but free Sunday.

I was going to wait at least a week before reviewing but I've put about 300 miles on the tune now and all I have to say is WOW.

The process was super easy and I was done before I could even have a conversation. I opted for the 87 tune because I am not about that premium fuel life.

On to the tune itself; I'm someone who religiously drives with ECT mode on and on the S shifting mode, because I knew I couldn't rely on the trucks shift points to pick the right gears for my driving situation. Especially with 35s and the added weight of my armor and recovery equipment.

Driving this thing is amazing, the acceleration lag is gone, at about 40-50% throttle the truck will gladly get up and go on its own and the acceleration is so smooth you won't even feel yourself hitting 70-80mph. At 70% pedal that's when the truck will hit hard acceleration and again, there is no 2-3 second lag before it picks up and goes.

For my needs the tune did exactly what I wanted and I am definitely satisfied.

For reference I have about 300lbs+ additional weight on the front of my truck, steel sliders and skids all the way back, and a steel rear bumper. I also am running 315/70/17.

I do have a regear planned before the end of the year (5.29) and will be returning to make those adjustments to the tune but it can only get better.

Definitely recommend OP if you don't want to spend the full amount for the components needed to DIY and the time taken to register said components/licenses/etc. I can't really explain the difference in words, you have to feel it for yourself.

Thank you for the review! I am glad it is working well for you. Get in touch after you get your gears installed and we can get the right tune flashed.

Hey man, is there a difference in horsepower from the regular 87 tune to the 91 octane tune? After there is another one of these weekends I’ll drive down to Rhode Island for Massachusetts and have you do my truck
