Everyone knows there is a double cab long bed right? Also the long bed is only 1' difference, with the tail gate down on the short bed you have the same loading platform. It isn't going to make that huge of a difference with loads

    Like, so many.
I would definitely not trade for a lower trim. Maybe for an SR5, maybe. But not for an SR.

The problem is that while I can get a lot of trade in money on my 2018 OR (dealers will meet or beat Carvana's 32.5k offer), none of the dealers are discounting any new tacomas beyond MSRP. So I'm basically paying full price for the SR.

    .
I only like the access With a long bed cab & only like the MT With TRD sport so SR5 was fine for me plus the DC with short Beds I don’t like the look of them looks better on a tundra but not the Tacoma’s just a fact i have everything from the factory TRD sport 4x4 MT apple car play With large screen satellite radio & power Drivers seat leds Bed light all from the factory so & I installed the add on from Toyota Remote tailgate works with your remote to unlock the tailgate unlock it only can do it on the 19/20 year models FYi I would say yes it’s 2 years Newer warranty starts over again less miles But if your old truck has 5 in the beginning of the vin it’s built in the USA 3 is Mexico I would keep it but that’s just me https://www.google.com/search?q=2020 tacoma tailgate remote accessory

I would not trade down. I think that if you need a 6ft bed only a few times out of the year, you can't go wrong with a bed extender. However if you will utilize the 6ft bed on a daily basis, why not just trade in for a DCLB? I get that with a DCLB you'll have a longer wheelbase but I cannot live with the limited interior space in a access cab.

    Just my opinion lol

And why would you pay full price, when you got a decent deal on the OR? Once things settle out, which will hold value longer? Which will bring better trade down the road?
But in the end, which will make you happy every time you jump in?

I don't think SR gets the power seat. I think it's SR5 and up. No way I would trade down when I had a nice, relatively new truck with more features. If you really want an access cab, why not wait for more inventory and start putting up some money to offset any difference in price and get an access cab OR? It will take some patience, but that way you would get the access cab and still have all of the features that you like. That my thoughts anyway. I know I would regret downgrading.

I don't know if you can get an accurate trade-in quote from Carvana. They ask if the vehicle's been smoked in, accidents, engine lights, driveable condition; but they don't have a spot for have you ever taken a dump in the vehicle. :poking:
I have a feeling that may knock a few bills off the trade-in.

Which one can take you further off the highway to stealth dump?

I wouldnt do it. Only reason i would sell or trade my truck in is to upgrade, not downgrade. If the dealer said they would take my 2016 Sport and Give me a 2021/2021 SR5 straight trade, I would still decline.

He’ll no . Off road for a Sr .. base model anything sucks .. access cab is not a practical daily truck no room for groceries. Can’t carry more than a passenger around . Your dog is going to hate you . Lol . Just stay with the off road .

Why did this thought even cross your mind? That SR wont hold the same resale as your OR and you are losing features and what restarting payments all over again for the same amount?

Yeah but you can always add a rear locker if you really want or need one. Which you really don't.

The SR and SR5 with the 4X4 engaged in low and auto LSD can go anywhere the OR's and Pro's can go. Period.

The SR is a great canvas to add what you want.

You can get Power seats with the SR. It comes standard with Android Auto and Apple CP.

If you get the SX Package it comes with a Tow Package, Power Windows, Adaptive Cruise Control Keyless Entry.

Look, I know you guys with OR's and Pro's don't like to hear it, but the SR and SR5's are well equipped trucks that are just as capable as any OR or Pro Taco.

It all come down to Trim and a Locker. The latter can be added if it's really needed.
