KO2 E-rated tires I found to be picky with balancing. I went back to Discount tires and talked with a manager. He had his best balance guy redo them. It made a big improvement. I also played around with several different air pressures. I found 33 Pds to be the best setting for mine for everyday in town driving. It rides nice now. You will never get them to ride like the factory wrangler tires. But they are a E-Rated tire 10 ply. They are made for off road and heavy 4 wheeling. Just depends on what you use your truck for. As someone else stated they are over kill for these trucks but I plan to be off road a lot 4 wheeling and hunting so they are worth it to me.

@Dftacoma17 I had four 285/75/17 BFG KO2's, ran for two years, 18k miles, was never able to balance properly. Got the shop foreman involved on my last visit to the dealership - determined bad sidewalls... manufacturer gave me back 80% to buy 4 new tires. Switched to Nitto Ridge Grapplers, same size, no more vibration. Done with KO2's, but do appreciate their good customer service / warranty.

Check with whoever you bought your KO2's from - they should have a 50,000 mile warranty on them. As others have posted, KO2's can be hard to balance - may not be the guy running the wheel balance machine, you may have bad tires like I did.

I run these tires (285's)... Did the chalk test, seat of the pants test, millage test... you name it... Settled on 36psi cold (40psi on a warm day cruisin to the next spot)... I air down to 12 pounds on the rocks... I have never had an issue with these tires... only reason i stick with them... So you'll have some extra lead to balance, who cares...

I had some KO2's on my Duramax, they wore fast and didn't last long, couldn't be happier after replacing them :D

No, that's where mine wear normally. More or less and they develop abnormal wear. ST Maxx though.

Well I have tried the tire pressure at 33,34,35,36 no difference. Got them balanced twice. I have discovered that this is 1k down the pooper! Just gonna be a rough ride until they wear out. Did the chalk test wears even.

I just switched from cooper at3 xlt e loads to ko2 c loads to get a better ride. These ko2s ride much worse than the coopers. I’ve had them balanced 3 times now and less than 1000miles. Still tough ride. I had this same issue with ko2 on my old wrangler And ended up having 1 of the tires replaced under warranty. Discount tire kept saying it was balanced but it rode like a wagon wheel. After replacing that one bad tire they rode great! I think I have the same issue with this set. Gotta take time and rotate them until I find the problem tire. They are either great with no issues or ride rough and need replacing. Seems like a inconsistent manufacturing problem???

    Do they even make a 265/75/16 C rated KO2?

I can't find any on tire rack.

Edit I see they make the Duratracs in a C rated.

I was really going to get the KO2's but I think I am leaning toward the Duratracs.

First off there in stock and it looks like you can get a lot of wear out of them.
