Who makes the skid plate? Does it just use the factory studs on the gas tank straps?

I turned those lights sideways to use as alley lights on my old truck and they worked awesome

I am on stock gears and the tires do run pretty loud in cab. For mud they are great but they do hold on to rocks that can fling and hit the truck when you pick up speed. other than that they are really solid tires

You're looking for a full skid set? Are you running a manual transmission? If so please post up who you found for your transmission skid. I've been unable to find any vendors willing to play in the regular cab, manual transmission field.

I have an auto and bought the full skid set from RCI. It's for the V6 but when I get it I'll see what needs to be done. I did see one user on the forum that used three small brackets to bridge the gap (4cyl trans skid is longer).

Steel. I know it's heavier but I think it's better for me after talking with a friend at work that had a modded 4Runner.

Called a flip-pac. Really cool rare old camper. Very hard to find now. Another company made a similar product called a wildernest. Today all we get are the wedge campers.

That's an option, from what I've seen those are just so expensive. Would rather buy a wedge camper.

4 wheel campers makes something that looks kinda like that. I think that's the closet you'll get.

Absolutely right it’s a FlipPac they are hard to find and typically fairly expensive but I couldn’t pass on the one I found. I picked the one I have for $1300 and definitely needed some work but campable for sure.

otherwise there is the “new” version which is that AT Habitat after having the FlipPac I’m planning on dropping the coin for one. I think it’s worth it and so much more room then the wedge style camper.

Ya totally understandable it’s not a great option for an in town camper it gets a lot of attention even packed away in the parking lot. The new version is roughly the same but flips out backward from the tailgate rather then over the cab and made out of aluminum.
