How long did it take to get yours? I’m going on about 2 weeks now since I ordered.

Looks good and kudos for your DIY. The only thing I might have done is 45 the edges so they are not sharp.

Quite a few things at this point..
I got it from a store called TAP Plastics here in Portland, OR. They did most the cutting, I pre-measured but still ended up a bit long. I just used my 3" cut-off tool, was fun.

thanks. I’m definitely down for a cool DIY project and saving a few hundred bucks. What exactly do I search for to try to find it locally? I use to live in Portland in the mid 90’s but it’s a bit of a drive for me now.

I'd probably just try searching for plastic stores in your area. If none around, I bet you can find an online source for a slab. It's HDPE plastic that I used and a lot of others who have done this.

Ah, now I understand your question Grasshopper.

To make the Display Off image appear, while the radio (or USB, or XM) is turned on, PRESS the Apps button to left of screen, then Setup, then Screen Off (bottom of screen).

Edit: @Goncalves_Taco I do it automatically now, from muscle memory. It's something like this anyway.

Yep, it comes right off easy. I used a pry tool that looks like a guitar pick to remove the cover and then there's a 10mm (IIRC) nut to take off. It pulls right off easy then.
