It’s because it was aluminum for sure.

He has another sos bumper on order.

and they are going to warranty the streamline bumper if he emails sos.

It’s definitely tweaked. The bottom (more supported and reinforced area) stayed put. The front being bent up like it is and also where the recovery points are, caused it to “pull” the one side out.

Be awesome if they warranty it for him.

It for sure didn’t happen from abuse. We hooked @Sasquatch3153 up with a tow rope (not snatch) and just pulled really slow to get @miamijime up and over the rock he was hung up on.

I think it all comes down to it being aluminum, it’s nice and light but if he had been even more stuck or we used a snatch rope it could have been wayyy worse.

For those just now tuning in, you define the difference between a "tow rope" and a "snatch rope" as...... ?

    Tow rope = no give
Snatch rope = rubber band type movement

    Thought so.

Tow rope = tow strap (have one rated for many lbs)

Snatch rope = kinetic recovery rope. Like a bubba rope, voodoo rope etc.

    Just to be clear lol.

The problem with snatch/kinetic straps and ropes is most people have no damn idea how to use them correctly. All the “hammer down” take offs are the worst for both cars. You can start moving at a safe speed and once the strap/rope meets its maximum length the kinetic energy will kick in and help.

Making a run to CoMo to swap parts with a KC cat, if anyone needs anything expressed out to/from the KC area, let me know.

Looking to make the run Saturday morning at the latest.
