Hello everyone! I just thought I would say hello and introduce myself. My name is Kris and I recently purchased my very first truck back in June 2020.

I currently own a Barcelona Red 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport 4x4. I love this truck so far and thought that I would share my journey (via YouTube / Instagram / Facebook) as I upgrade and modify anything and everything I can possibly do on this truck.

I am an ASE Certified Master Automotive Technician and I have been working on vehicles professionally for over 20 years. So with my experience and education, I thought it would be a cool idea to share my knowledge and "expertise" through social media.

I know that the Toyota Community is an exceptionally awesome resource and I am excited to contribute in any way that i can to be of help. If anyone is interested, please check out my YouTube channel (level up mechanics) or my instagram (levelupmechanics) for some content that I will be adding on a regular basis! I am relatively new to this, so suggestions / constructive criticism is definitely welcome.

Here are some of my current upgrades so far:

    Engine:
Injen Evolution Cold Air Intake System
Stromung "Tucker" Cat Back Exhaust System

    Ride & Handling:
    Falken WILDPEAK A/T3W - 265/70/R17

    Interior Accessories:
Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Shift knob
OEDRO Front & Rear Floor Mat Set
    Toyota Tacoma 3rd Gen TacoRail

    Exterior Accessories:
Sequential "Smoked" L.E.D. Side Mirror Turn Signals
    Toyota Tacoma Black Emblem Covers
Toyota Tacoma Tailgate Black Letter Inserts

Anyway, Thanks for stopping by and reading this. I look forward to contributing to this forum in any way that i can in the future.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! I just posted another video about the Stromung "Tucker" Catback Exhaust system last weekend:

    https://youtu.be/xpVS0RdorHY

I know there is a lot of stuff I need to improve on in regards to my videos (like an intro, for example). If anyone has any helpful critiques on what I could possibly do better, please let me know. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to see in the future (i.e. suspension upgrades, lighting, wheels, etc), I am all ears lol.

Also, if anyone has any issues with their tacoma (check engine light, steering, suspension, a/c, etc) and need advice, let me know. I would be happy to help steer you in the right direction =)

    Hey man just subbed (knightacoma)

Your videos are really good for just starting out. I think a lot of people will appreciate the straightforwardness of your install videos.

I started my channel in a similar manner, making install videos to help others. I've now started to branch out a bit and experiment as my truck is more built out and installs have slowed down.

As far as tips, I'd say just share your videos in different forums. There's a dedicated "Tacoma Videos" section of Tacomaworld to share videos.
In addition, you can find Facebook and Reddit Tacoma groups to post up in as well.

There will always be haters when you try to share/promote your YouTube videos, but you're putting in time and effort to help others (via install videos) so don't pay them any mind. Whenever you post a video somewhere, odds are that it helps at least one person who sees it.

Good luck with the YouTube stuff! I look forward to your future videos.

Thanks for the sub and the kind words (and advice)! I saw a notification (on my phone) that you subbed this morning and I geeked out a little lol .

I've been watching your channel for a while now and I really enjoy your content!

I will definitely use the advice you gave me and I really appreciate the time you took to help out.

I also see that you are really close to reaching that 1K subscriber milestone! I hope you reach it soon!

    Thanks again for the advice!
