I thought we agreed you installed a new axle with an invisible shaft

Glad you got it driveable, just didn't want to see you toast your wheel bearing driving without a CV in the hub lol

Don't feel bad my brother drove that far for a white door for his Jetta that wasn't the same shade, funny part is he had the old door in the bed of the truck... you'd figure, but no

He ended up painting it himself but the clear came out looking like mucus

Should have just slapped some Bondo on it saved the trouble of getting another door

You can toast a wheel bearing without a cv?

How do you drive outta the trail when a cc breaks? Just pack an extra one?

It's less Tacoma and more mod
Pull the axle shaft out of the cup and just leave the cup bolted in the hub/bearing

Oh duh... because you need the axle nut to keep the hub in:facepalm:

What do you do about the open hole in the side of your diff? Carry around a rubber plug the size of an axle seal?

Just leave the other side in too, you can remove the shaft from a CV and just have two cups. I always travel with a spare CV though, not often you blow up two in the same trip
