Early March, Truck you see in my avatar. V6 4X4 in the high 27s then added flaps, steps and tax 29K otd. Traded the road donuts in for some 265 10 ply atps for another 500 bucks.

If you think getting a Tacoma is tough right now try getting a position for a C8.

I suggest renaming this thread to... What did you pay for your 2020 Tacoma in March?

    I put a deposit on a 2020 Cement TRD Off-Road 4x4 V6 today...

    LED lightkit
    Ball mount
    Cargo bed light
    Mud guards
    Power tailgate lock
    Predator tube steps
    Premium mat set
    Blackout kit
    Protection plus

OTD $41,500 (includes tax and doc fees)

I don't think this is the greatest price I can get, buuuuut 4X4 V6's are stupid hard to find around San Antonio, TX right now. Thoughts?

Sounds like a deal I made about 3 weeks ago. According to my dealer, the truck was finished today at Toyota Baja. He couldn’t provide a lead time but from what I read it should arrive anywhere between 7 days and December. Truck is spec’ed pretty similar to yours minus the:
    Ball mount
    Predator tube steps
    Premium mat set
    Blackout kit
    Protection plus

They wanted 42.5 OTD originally, but I was able to squeeze another couple hundred out of my trade-in and got them to knock off $1k because I didn't even want most of the accessories, but I kind of had to settle because that's basically all they order now.

I’m currently looking at 2020 TRD Pros and sticker is $48,332. After TTL looking at $52k. I’m having a hard time pulling the trigger.

Think I’ll turn my focus to 2019 with low mileage but have yet to find one in color I want (met grey).

It’s $1k incentive OR 1.9% on everything but the pros.

Dang, that's pretty good. Mine has all that extra crap on it, about $2.4k worth according to the invoice. I don't think it has the tech package (but it has the LED headlights, so maybe?). I'll find out for sure when it arrives. I don't think I'm getting a great deal, but I'm not getting hosed either. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Do you guys think $48,332 ($52k out the door) is too much to spend on a 2020 TRD Pro (metallic grey)? I am trying to find a slightly used one, but not really seeing anything.

I don't think that's a bad price, but it's not really anything to brag about. But personally, that's how I feel about the Pro trim altogether. It's a lot of extra money for the bells and whistles.

The best I could do on a Pro in Az was 54,500.

I was quoted $2700 off by another dealer, MSRP was almost $40k. I think you should try for 8-10% discount off MSRP, that seems to be the average for similarly equipped Tacoma around Houston area.

I also don't do serious off roading, just driving on the beach, and then dealing with the snow in the New England winters. So the Pro is probably absolute overkill. I do like the look of the off road better than the sport and SR5 though. And limited isn't too far off the price of the pro. God, I am confused ha.

That's the thing... No other dealer can find me a quick or cement TRD Off-Road 4x4 or Sport 4x4. The only ones available are getting lift kits as soon as they get off the truck and the dealer is adding 8k to the tag.

Edit: I did a new search and just found one at a local dealer. Ugh. Time to make more calls!

Side question in case anyone might know... how would I go about getting my deposit back from the other dealer if this new one gives me a better offer?

Shouldn’t be that big of a deal these days as it’s not like they’re not going to be able to sell the truck. Just ask them. Tell them your financial situation has changed or something. Some dealers are OK with it some dealers are a pain, especially if they had to trade something of value from their dealership to get it. But if you want to play hardball and the vehicle has not been delivered yet then any deposit placed is contingent upon inspection of the new vehicle. Aka, its delivered and you say there’s something wrong with it. If you let them know that you are aware of that and that you will be placing a call to Toyota customer service then they’ll probably just relent.
