    Interesting. Just for reference my electronic shift sometimes doesn't sound like it engages just the way the gears are lined up other times it is an audible meshing and then others it's a clunk. Both in and out of 4H and 4Lo. I've also experienced this with manual shifters in trucks as well. Could be gear alignment where they are or like you said the shifter just not having enough leverage making it hard.

    i do remember it. I saw that he also bought then v8 pickup that was there. That’s what made me ask.

    I was actually at AOP the first time he rolled his XJ. When Jimbo freaked out looking for him and he was already out of the Jeep standing beside him.
