Hey just installed a 3inch lift on my tacoma and now it makes a popping noise while driving slowly. Not sure where it’s coming from exactly but maybe the front axles? Anyone else have this problem?

What suspension? Sway bar hitting coils? CV back in all the way if you did ECGS?

Had a click sound on my 4Runner when braking after lift. Bolts were loose on the control arms.

Your post is lacking a lot of information. What did you install? “Lift kit” doesn’t give any information. New coilovers? Leaf packs? Ucas? Spacers? You need to provide what you put in and what you dicked with.

I put in a 3 inch rough country lift kit with the extended shocks in the front and spacers in the rear. I installed a diff drop kit. It’s a loud popping Noise while driving slowly forward or in reverse. I was thinking the cv axles because it only happens while moving slowly and I don’t hear it when driving faster over bumps or holes in the road.

Does the sound only happen once or is it constantly repeated at slow speeds while driving?

It’s constantly repeated after every couple feet of driving.

so it sounds like once every wheel rotation. I’d start looking at axles & driveshaft vs suspension. CV as you said would be a good starting point. Jack it up, rotate by hand see if you feel / hear anything.

I think they did pop out while i was putting the lift on but I pushed them back in maybe they aren’t in all the way

They take quite a bit of force to pop out. Unless you popped the actual CV joint, but I don't know if you can do that while the shaft is in the diff. That can usually be seen as it deforms the boot. Did you do the ECGS bushing? Did you torque all the bolts? Wheel lugs CVs are the only things I can think of immediately on the front that would cause rotation noise, unless you messed with the diff internals or have something loose and contacting wheels/brakes/driveline. Also unrelated, I'd look around here and think twice about the diff drop.

What is the ECGS bushing? And should I have done the diff drop? I had to push the cv axles back in when I did the lift.

Imo, yes on ECGS, no in diff drop. ECGS bushing replaces the drivers side needle bearing in the diff because it tends to grenade after lift.
