Updating the list for sanity. My current short term priorities are:

    Bed rack refinish/base rebuild
    Bed organization redo
    Finish the glare shield

    And garage mods:

Shelf to display R6 front end with lights functioning on switch/old helmets

Went out to tune my CB, aim my headlights and ditch lights last night. Got SWR to 1.5 on 1 and 40, and 0 or damn close to 0 on channel 20. Best damn SWR reading I have ever had.

Just need to throw the interior back together now.

For my mig torch and plasma cutter torch. The one in the center gets used the most. I rest the gun there a lot while I’m welding something.

Can kinda see it here at the bottom.

    Thank you Austin!

So biggest update for this thread, I'm officially a Dad!

Hoping he will eventually inherit the truck when he's old enough to drive. I definitely plan on taking him wheeling when he is old enough too, but I already know I need something else for family camping.

Some more shots of my boy and my wifey.

Also finally finished something I always wanted to add to the garage for a while. Been saving the first grill I ever made (and my first mod to this truck) as well as the Hella 700FF's I had behind it for this idea. It turned out far better than I expected. I made a bracket out of aluminum to mount the lights to:

    Throwback shot:

I then mounted it to the wall where the grill has been for a couple years now. I also installed an outlet behind the grill, and put a switch down by the tool box so I can control this outlet independent of the main garage lights.

I also had a spare front end for my old R6. I reused the old lights and wind screen and did a similar lighting setup for that.

I put in a shelf to hold that, and two helmets. The helmet on the left was my dirt bike helmet from when I was a teenager. The one on the right is the first street bike helmet I've ever owned. It's nice having some nostalgia double as decor.

Started tearing into the rack refinishing project while I was on paternity. The biggest issues with the rack in it's current state are two things. It's made for a second gen, so the rails curve like a second gen bed does, and it's a hair too narrow so when you tighten it down to my rails it pulls the rails super inwards, or bolts down diagonally. Also it had an overhang in the front that would basically let water straight into the bed at the front because it had a piece that would sit into the bed and not seal against the front bed rail. My solution for this is to build all new bed rails.

First I needed to cut off the old base.

Then I ripped the front piece to be the same height vertically as the sides. The mini circular saw worked tits for this.

From there it was a ton of wire wheeling, treating it with phosphoric acid, and priming it.

Next up is to build the base on the truck. Will probably be a bit till I can start that though.
