Does anyone have one of these installed with at least a 33" tire on it? I was wondering how much of the tailgate camera is cut off? The camera does point down mostly but just curious because I like the tire carrier a lot but if it messes with the camera too much then I will have to weigh the risk VS reward with getting it. A picture of the display in reverse would be great if someone can take one. Thanks

3215A7FF-D923-49A4-B565-93D4755628CC.jpg So I installed the tire carrier. I like it especially since I was tired of putting the tire in the bed. It does render the tailgate camera and backup sensors almost useless. I wish I could disable the sensor tone when in reverse. Also it sticks out further of course so the departure angle is worse. Overall though I think it’s worth it.

Can you take a picture of it folded down at 90 degrees?

I would have to say if you are doing any serious loading and unloading that it’s in the way. Obviously pretty easy to take off. It also effects the tailgate camera and backup sensors. Love the looks and was tired of having the spare take up bed space. I can open the tailgate enough with it in place to fold back the cover for just groceries or Home Depot trips.

If you press the parking sensor button underneath the HVAC controls, it will disable that tone when in reverse. I do it all the time when I have to trailer something.

It looks like a little cone with the letter P on it.

I may look at that but not sure it’s really needed anyhow. Is there a housing for the lens that people are using or do you just JB Weld it on.....lol

Has it got a wedge type receiver to prevent wobbling? I,m tempted to get this to use for mounting Roto pax fuel cans and Propane bottle as to keep out of the bed of the truck as the dog crate is in there. Im aslo tempted on the Rigd tire swing but its triple the price. Yes more options but I think this idea would work. How is the overall build quality / powder coating? Im also a little hesitant as its spotty response when email or posting on social media product questions.
    thanks

It does have a wedge that you spread via a 10” extension and 9/16 socket. It still wobbles a little but seems very stable. Build quality is good. Some paint has scraped off from where the vertical square tube pivots to lay flat. I just touch it up with black acrylic paint. I think it’s bit pricey but I do like it.

Thanks for the info , much appreciated. They have a 20% off sale this weekend so its tempting as the exchange rate and shipping to Canada makes it pricey.

I bought mine in July and I search for an internet coupon and also got 20% off. Which basically paid for shipping.
