There are options out for throttle boosters/enhancers, who has used what, and which might be the best ones to use?? I'd really like to rid my Yota of that lag.
Any thoughts and or options?? Thanks in advance.

Yes, it called a pedal commander.
However, I do not care for it.
And I personally would not use it on my truck.

I feel you are better off with a full tune by someone like @JustDSM
I’d spend the extra money. I think you’ll be much happier.

^^^ This and HP Tuners. The tune is great. Much, much more responsive.

I have a 4 banger and installed PC a couple of weeks ago. The difference is night and day as far as responsiveness goes.

Thanks everyone. JGO, I've really been eyeing that Sprint Booster. Then I ran into one on Extreme Terrain, but for alot less. Still weighing out my options tho, as I have to get me some leaf springs. My current springs look like 2x4's... Thanks TW. I'll look into those Tuners as well.

The Sprint Booster is sold with a 30 day approval period. If you don't like it, take it off and they will take it back crediting your account.

Thanks again JGO. Since I've been looking, I ran into one on Extreme Terrain catalog, via the iDrive that offers a lifetime warranty. Those guys and gals at ET actually use what they sale. This iDrive has very good reviews and has my attention, at half the cost of others.

@davidstacoma; I hear ya bro. Yet the weight I've added in rims and tires doesn't allow me the same take-off as before. I can really feel the lag now. Not very good when gotta get a bit aggressive, just to fall short of a comparable "Turtle-launch". Lol!!

Makes sense, you just want to get your response back. I was really just kidding around, never felt the need to change anything with my stock setup. :)

I know Bro of da Taco. I didn't take any offense to anything stated above. Just straight to the point, and it had me laughing. Lol!! I get it, you get it. No harm, no foul..
To my correction tho, Extreme Terrain has "SpeedForm" and not the iDrive. Same design tho..

    HPTuners...Period.End of Story.

Seriously though, HPTuners is the way to go. Shift points are altered on autos and for manuals there is less rev hang. Not to mention tuning for modifications if you have any or plan on any. I noticed quite a difference in throttle response and the transmission shifts much more normal now. It drives how it should have from Toyota.

K&N cai, mass air flow sensor spacer, throttle body spacer, upper plenum spacer mod thingie, long tube headers, collectors welded to an X-pipe, dual in single out. Now some rolling resistance in 20x10's with 33's. Still need gearing, maybe 4:88's and that's about for engine.
    How can HP-Tuners help??

anything like spirit booster or pedal commander do nothing more than simulate you pushing down the gas pedal more than what you are currently doing.

Much more responsive, though. Feels like a sportier truck.

I was curious and picked up an eBay Eittar 9 drive for $50. It works as advertised, but does nothing for the shift points which is necessary when using P2 & P3. The last 2 sport modes are just stupid unless your just trying to punch it off the line. All driveability is gone and the gas pedal is a light switch. The trans is constantly in and out of lockup with any throttle movement when cruising & downshifts with any attempt to accelerate. Then once you’re past 1/3 throttle it’s done and business as usual. I am supercharged with an AFE intake, 2.85 pulley, and Transgo valve body kit, so my throttle response and shifts weren’t terrible to start with.

That being said. P1.5 is great. Takes out some of the lag and still works with the shift points with out being stupid annoying. Gives the pedal a nice feel and improves driveability. I do like how the eco mode desensitizes the pedal. That’ll help out in the ice & snow and 4lo.

For $50 it was worth checking out. If I had spent $300 on a pedal commander, I’d be pissed. The HP tuner would be the way to go. The other settings are only useful if youre constantly smashing the pedal to the floor. If you need it pull a gear forget it. It’ll downshift if you breathe on the gas pedal. I could see it being much more useful in a manual.

Thats cus all its doing is making the ECU think you are pushing the gas pedal down quicker and more than you are.
