Just called them up and talked for a good 20 minutes. Cool guys who are more than willing to talk things over, answer questions, etc. Got it tentatively scheduled for mid-September so I have time to do a few mods under there before it is covered.

I got mine coated from the dealer last spring. Sat in their lot for 2 days "drying" stuff still wipes off and I see by my rear tires its almost completely gone off the frame. I hate working under the truck with that shit. Always gets on everything if you're up in the frame area.

 

When I had mine done at Affordable Auto Solutions I drove home the same day and didn't have a single drop fall on my driveway.
After over a dozen high pressure under body washes still has the film on it. I would describe it like how an engine gets covered in a thin layer of oil when you have a valve cover leak. It's slick and will get on you if you touch it but wipes away as if you touched engine oil.
Working on the truck isn't miserable, way easier than if the truck was all rusted out, it's just if you are trying to get a tough to reach area it's a bit more work because everything is slick to the touch.

that seems like a high price for a really rusty rack. I cant find the price on that rack new, but victory has a similar one for 750 new.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure $750 is in the range. It’s definitely not $1300 as listed, thats for the new aluminum one... which is not this one.

 

So I found the rack new, 699, plus the 150 for the bed cover mounts. So 850ish new, still thats a $400 rack max. This is one thing I hate about the for sale in tacomas, everything is over priced. To get that rack up to new its going to cost nearly 400 in sandblasting and powder coating. No item should cost more than new after refurbishing it.

 

Just posted a bunch of stuff I'm trying to sell off in the Midwest Classifieds thread. Black oval step bars, Sport carpet and all weather mat sets, bed extender, SR black grill surround (banish the chrome!), MT stock and Pro shift knobs, Tekonsha P3 with mounting bracket for cubby, KTJO tailgate lock kit, and Air Lift air bags (pretty much just the bags themselves).
