It has been a while since my 295 post and I dropped some mods.

I added 1.25” spacers. That and the weight of a steel bumper, winch and skids = rubbing. CMC, pinch and heat gun fixed that.

One of my most favorite tacos on this forum. Only thing I'd do different is 16's instead of 17's. Just saw your IG too

Recently lifted swapped stock for a 2.5" ICON Stage 4 kit on my 2019.

The shop I have been talking to is telling me that to fit 295/70/17's I need to do a body chop. What is everyone else seeing? I suspect that I will absolutely need it because I live in a building with a parking garage with hairpin turns to enter/exit.

Same shop is also saying I cannot run the TRD Pro Rims w/ a 295 due to rubbing. Anyone try it? I glanced through a couple pages but didnt see it.

Also considering the Konig Countersteer if folks have thoughts on the risk of rub here...?

You’ll definitely need a body mount chop and small trimming of the bottom corners of the fender flares. Maybe even the fender liners, but since you have Icon’s it’s not as easy to compress that far due to the 700lb spring rate. Even if you have to, cutting the liners are quick and easy with a razor blade. I have no idea what the specs are for the 3rd Gen TRD Pro wheels

TRD Pro are 17" with a 4mm offset.

Konig Countersteer X are 4.1mm offset.

Ideally thinking Nitto Ridge Grappler 297/70/17 at the moment.

Photo of the truck immediately after cranking the front coils to 2", pre-settling.

I have a 2017 Tacoma with a 2.5” lift in the front and add a leafs in the back and right now I have 255/85r16, I like the height but I would like to go a hair wider without going 12.50 wide. so I really like the 295/75r16 Nitto ridge grappler, I have stock wheels and a arb winch bumper. Does everybody think id fit them ok? Close to Same height as I have now but inch and a half wider. Thanks

You'll most likely need a cab mount chop and may need to beat the pinch weld flat too

i have been running the yokohama geolander G003 MT in a 295/70-17 for a while now, just wanted to say im impressed with them. tend to run them down @ 15-17 psi offroad, they've never missed a beat grip wise, and is still quiet enough on the highway. so very happy with them

You’re making me want those tires asap. I just can’t justify swapping out my current tires after only 20k :goingcrazy:

Currently have SPC UCA’s and they are quite nice for dialing in the alignment numbers. I had Dirt King tubular UCA’s as well and those are nice too, swapped them for the SPC’s to get better camber numbers.

I’m not quite sure how much lift actually. Maybe 1.5”? 2”? My cv angles are perfect, pretty much look like stick to me. I prefer low and fast to tall and tippy. Anyways, I’ve done Chopped the cab mount and beat the Pinch weld along with some fender and fender liner trimming. I still rub the top of the wheel well on big hits :notsure:
