It's pretty bad, for sure, here as well. I get up as high as I can (in elevation) and pedal up there. Makes for some beautiful views though.

    IMG_3059.jpg

I have a 150 Oneup, I'll let it go cheap. Shoot me a PM if interested.

Just put on a Dissector in EXO+. Very impressed. Good rolling speed, weight, and grip. Really good cornering grip. It's a good tire for the trail bike.

3rd this. DD Aggressor is my all-time favorite "party tire." Breaks loose, rolls fast, tough as shit. Perfect enduro fun-bike tire.
People are bother too much by weight. I'd take a DD Aggressor over a EXO+ DHR2 anyday for pedaling.

    Or better?

Welp, that made me spend stupid money... I had my dream splitboard setup in a cart, till that... And now I'm nearly $2k broker..:spending:

No season pass this year. Fuuuuuhhhh that noise. I usually like resort riding, but this year will be a shit-show.

yea I'm really interested to see how this season plays out. I decided on the military epic pass this year, since its only like $140, so if I get a couple of days in, I won't be out anything significant.

Two day’s later I unpacked her. Quite sturdy and right up there with the one I’ve been borrowing from my sister and $110 cheaper. This one is from Feedback Sports and is solid. Not regretting Going for the Park Tools one or the Feedback Pro Elite I’ve been borrowing from my sister.

Same design but a little less chunky, very solid though and $110 less. The Pro Elite cost is $289. The one I chose from Feedback Sports is a model down called the Sport Mechanic and cost $175. I think the Pro Elite model is overkill. This one at $100 less is identical and very chunky and sturdy.

The red one is the Pro Elite model I’ve been borrowing. The black one is the Sport Mechanic model. So far seems very job worthy.

Does the pro elite have a quick release clamp? If so that’s the only benefit I’d see to go with it. I have the sport mechanic and I like it a lot, I think you made a good choice

Ahh..good call. It does but I never used it during the several times I used that stand. That would be the only benefit between the two as I see it.

Yeah if I was using it everyday it might be worth it but for once a week or so the sport mechanic is fine for sure

I have the sport mechanic as well and concur with all said.

What'd you buy?! I ride a Venture Zephyr with phantom bindings and AT boots (Atomic backlands). Yep, I'm a fruit booter!

I am looking for a new bike (here we go )

I have a VERY ancient 1980's Diamondback MB (no suspension) - it's served me well, but time for the pasture. I am old - 62 - but not dead quite yet. I want a light, smallish mountain bike (I used to be 5'8") for mainly trails and a little street to the trails. Yes I can ride uphill :amen::p but love downhill, just semi-sane.

I am looking a bikes in the $2000-$2500 range. I like this: https://www.specialized.com/us/en/stumpjumper-st-alloy-27-5/p/170586?color=&searchText=93220-7202

The rub of course is no stock to be found. I can wait I suppose, but also want to shop. What do you recommend? :spending:So many choices.................in for .02$ TIA

I have a feeling that backcountry gear is going to be like MTB gear.
Right now their policy is the same as lifts for bike parks. One person, or people who are together, per chair. The corral is going to be marked off, with one person, or people together, on each line every 6 feet. Can you imagine the lift lines?! Lodges will likely be closed, or socially distanced, with monitoring people in/out. Masks required indoors. No refunds on passes as long as they can "operate."
I think people are going to be pissed, and go for touring like mad.

Jones Mountain Twin, Union Expedition FC bindings, Jones pro skins, MSR carbon poles, Ortovox S1, Ortovox probe, Ortovox shovel. I had a beacon, probe, and shovel already, but gave them to wifey since she'll be joining me. And now she needs to get her skiing touring setup.... My savings is taking a massive hit this summer between three new bikes, two new touring setups, and a new truck. Oh well, it's all for keeping us sane during these insane times.

Greetings fellow taco lovers, I am in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate some input based on experience not word of mouth. I love trail riding, mountain biking, and currently own a 21’’ late 90’s Trek 6500zx. I will be ordering a Trek Roscoe 8 this weekend and am stuck on the frame size. I’m 6’1 73’’ with a 34.5’’ inseam and 74.5’’ arm span. Long arms but not ape like, lol. Trek website has me at a L frame, 19.5’’ but I also fit into their XL, 21.5’’ category dimensions. I’m literally dead center between Trek’s size/frame categorization. Ideally I would test ride both, but given COVID nothing is available until February and even that is just for people who order.... I know bike geometry has changed in the last two decades and could really use some advise, insights, before I drop $1750.00 on this bike. Thanks to all, cheers mates!
