I just installed this tonneau cover last night on my 2019 TRD Off-road SBDC, only to get done and find a inch gap between the cover and the tailgate when the tailgate is closed.

Another thing I noticed on my way to work today is that the cover shakes/vibrates quite a bit when traveling at highway speeds. Not sure if this is normal or if it's maybe a symptom of the gap in the back.

Does anyone else have this cover on their 2019 short-bed and have experienced the same issue(s), or know if I maybe installed it incorrectly?

vibration is normal from what i have seen - just make sure the cover is seated fully in the slidey rail things on the side of the bed lol. you should be able to adjust backwards to compensate for that gap. Move back the entire canister slightly

Doesn’t look like a oem factory cover & they are not adjustable the pins bolt to existing holes underneath the plastic bed rails FYi no vibration on mine.just a note they only go over the Bed rails not inside & over the tail gate but to the end

I had this issue with my Retrax. Had to unbolt and shift the whole assembly towards the rear of the truck verses keeping it snug up against the front rail.

I did the same with my SwitchBlade... I intentionally dropped the tailgate and went about 1/4" too far, so that when i close the tailgate, it kinda squeezes the seal

I did the exact same thing. I’ve had mine for about 2 1/2 years and I’ve had to do this when I installed it and one other time about two months ago. So I guess no matter how tight you get the cover on the railed the tailgate does push it up some. It helps if you don’t slam my tailgate when I close.

Thanks for the feedback ya'll! I'll be moving it back an inch or so when I get home today. Hoping I won't have to reposition the black rubber seal thing that they had me put at the cab-end of the bed.

You should have enough room so you don’t have to redo the weatherstripping.

The rubber seal should be attached to your cover so repositioning should not be required. Unless, of course, you attached it to the bed rail by mistake.
