leaking isn’t the only reason to rebuild. The oil loses its cooling properties over time.

I really didn't have time to diagnose anything. I just back out of the garage and shifted through the gears for like 5 min and noticed the sounds with my windows down. Didnt sound like binding but the sound was there and really noticeable.

I agree with this for my dirt bikes, just not on a Tacoma in Alabama application. Fluid doesn’t get too hot mall crawling I would assume.

They’ll get rebuilt, I just don’t consider them a critical matter like, engine, trans, and diff oils.

I guess that’s a personal call and your choice to make. When oil looks like this after 40k miles, I’m going to replace it.

Without knowing the color of the oil put in the shocks I can’t make any guesses into the state of the oil. You could send it off for sampling.

A lot of fork oils and shock oils comes in dark coloring. That being said it’s usually never harmful to change oils early

Installed a nice inexpensive dash cam. Definitely need it driving around Huntsville.

I actually just tucked the USB cable for now. I'll be hard wiring it in the future.

tuck the wires in headliner and down a pillar down to the fuse box under dash. Not hard at all.

I saw someone here had a dash cam that plugged into their rear view mirror. That’s the route I want to go.
