Nice thanks for the tip. I was thinking of buying the quarts and run it in my sprayer. Just need to make sure it’ll work

I have used it on a lot of stuff and quite like it. Have only used it on bare steel though and it held up pretty ok

Yeah I’m going to clean everything back to bare steel. Instead of just going over the paint.

Yeah I drove for probably another year after mine started making noise. Easily another 10k.

I put amsoil trans fluid into the Tacoma I had. The drain plug required a 10 mm Allen socket. I broke the first socket because it was weak, then bought a better one from Napa and ended up putting the front end on ramps for more clearance to fit the socket on a breaker bar with 30" cheater bar. Even at that. I had to crank hard on the cheater bar to get the drain plug to break loose.

I also bought the Harbor freight transfer pump to refill. It worked quite well, and I've used it several times since.

My front diff plug was seized and I ended up rounding out the allen socket in it. I fucked with it for like a week and then just sacked up and welded a bolt on it and it came right off. I think the heat made more difference than anything.

I couldnt get the fill plug out of a box truck once. The gas tank on this guy was like 6" back from the diff so couldnt really get anything besides a wrench or socket in there. Said screw it and just removed the breather and filled from that. Wasnt going to spend the time to screw around with it. Its the next guys problem :) Thankfully you cant really overfill a diff (well with an extra 1/4-1/2 quart at least) so just measured what i took out, checked the book for the proper amount and replaced what i took out plus a bit extra

Yeah I should just do the relocate. I hacked the crap out of it on my old frame and Toyota didn't say a word about it. I wanna make it look some what decent with a new frame.

I wouldn’t do that. It’s there to keep your legs from getting crushed by the tires. Trimming it a bit is probably fine and it can still do it’s job if it needs to. Look into the JDFab LCA kit if you need more clearance

When I was at Funny Rocks on Saturday, an older Toyota truck was stuck on the climb with a bashed in firewall on the drivers side. The firewall had to be beaten out to get it underway. That was after the drivers side slider was ripped off of by another Toyota and a snatch strap!

Who knew reinstalling my sway bar would cost so much!

New brackets, bushings, bolts, and end links are going to run me $150 :annoyed:
