Well it's official that I'm accepting a contractor position to retain my role. Because of the cost of living in MT I couldn't negotiate more to offset the losses of my benefits but they did match my existing pay. I still don't really like my job and they're doing all this "transformation" work so I've just got to convince myself to keep my head down and stick through it as long as I can.

 

Ooofff... right in front of the TV. Maybe he/she was looking for an audience...

Guy with the broken impact drill called looking for me. He said that he was told that if it was broken, he could get it replaced. "yes sir, but that's only if it's covered under warranty." He then admitted to dropping it and I said yeah, that's not covered and the repair will run you more than a new one. He was not happy, but guess what?!?! IDFC!
