I always try to pair up my pistols with PCCs, and since I just sold my Henry 44, I need a replacement. Anyone have an idea where to find either a Ruger 96/44 lever gun, a Ruger 77/44 bolt action with threaded barrel, or (and this one will probably be impossible) a Remington 788 in 44mag?

Thought about Marlin, but the quality lately has been hit/miss. If I were to go for another Henry, it would need to be the newer ones with the loading gate, and I would like a threaded barrel on anything new.

I have a buddy who used to deal in NV, got a good deal on it. To me it’s the ideal setup. Team Wendy Exfil and surplus mounts, and a few add-ons.

Ballast at the back is handy, but I didn't like adding anything to mine. That reminds me to find my IR beacon lol.

It was an easy way to carry 2 extra Glock mags and ease up on the front weight pull a bit.

Maybe 3-4 hours at the most, it’s pretty comfy.

I think that the helmet harness and pads is the best for comfort. I can't remember mine, but I'm a big fan of this:
    15979516646091712696984436946474.jpg
Longest I've worn this with PVS14 and MS-2000M beacon is 9 hours. It wasn't too bad, but I like the harness that adjusts tension with a dial.

Yes the tensioner is super nice. I know guys with airsoft helmets from Amazon that love them just as much as I love mine. For a few hours a month, a $40 helmet may be enough.

No reason when surplus Kevlar is available for around the same price. I'm lucky I got to keep my ACH, but there's also the Kevlar CVCs and old PASGT helmets out there. There was also a deal on surplus police Kevlar riot helmets at AIM Surplus, I think.

I have considered upgrading to a nice ballistic helmet and even a surplus, but the lighter weight set up wins for me personally.

My helmet saved my noggin from shrapnel and banging it on stuff, so I'm sticking to Kevlar.

Well I destroyed my barrel nut so have a new one order with some shims coming. I already planned on shims and wanted to see what happens when you torque past spec. My BCM Mod 3 and Maritime bolt catch shipped too

I like the Maritime bolt catch.

I prefer the Raptor over the BCM charging handles.

    ....thanks.

Reason for preference? Usually turn my head because of ambi-designs. Maybe I'm missing something.
