Practically every other car you see on the road out here has an Uber or Lyft sticker on it so there were a ton of people at least somewhat relying on that income to one degree or another.


I for one am not looking forward to the increase in drunk a-holes on the roads now.

I wonder if favor/Uber eats/grub hub is worth it pizza delivery for Pappa John's makes me good money I wonder if it's the same for them

 

I guess it comes down to what you call 'good money', I don't think those jobs are meant to be the kind of work you support yourself on...it's more supplemental income or part time work for people in school or working 2+ jobs.

I don't know anyone well-enough personally that does it to ask them but that kind of work does not appeal to me no matter what it pays, especially rideshare apps. Carting strangers all over town for a few bucks a pop, nope no thanks.

Meh, good money for me is covering the gas that job would take to do while covering repair costs for already broken parts with enough in my pocket to fix up another 4 runner and live outside of a ramen diet like I was with autozone

I make 40 bucks a night delivering at Pappa John's if I can do that extra on my free days off I'm not playing mechanic that wouldn't be bad

 

What pisses me off most about them (in my area at least), is they'll park out front of someone's house waiting on them or their next gig, and they'll fucking toss their McDonald's bag or Big Gulp out their window onto the street. They don't want trash in their cars because they have people to cart around but they're too fucking lazy to throw it away properly.

Every week we have fast food trash on the curb somewhere in the neighborhood and it's always some Uber/Lyft/Doordash etc driver that does it

 

I swear if I saw someone do that while I was on a walk I'd toss that shit right back into their lap. Hopefully it's a half full, half melted Frosty too

 

Never been fond of litterers. The scum of civilians imo. Got enough trash walking around in society, dont need more on the ground

I’ve yet to work on one of their cars that’s actually maintained. I refuse to set foot in a Uber or Lyft car because I know how unsafe 75% of their cars are

Oh wow yeah, they must have just squeezed that in...saw a bunch of local news articles about the uproar it was creating today and made it sound like it was a done deal as of this morning. Must have forced them into giving them more time

 

Their cars are appliances and drivings their job, I can see the being out of repair for sure

I know the last time it was registered before I got it was 2018 and that it's been wrecked but other than that I have no clue about it
