Maybe I'm wrong, but would damage while off roading be "willful damage"? Do you seriously expect the insurance company to reimburse you for your failure to operate the vehicle safely? I've damaged my Jeep a few times and never thought of filing a claim. Perhaps it's a generational thing about accepting responsibility for ones actions.

Willful damage or not, they covered it under a comprehensive claim.

I was more than ready to accept the full cost of the necessary repairs myself and had the funds to do so. I didn't even consider using insurance because I assumed it would be denied until my brother suggested it. At the end of the day, I ended up paying $1k to fix my truck instead of what it actually cost.

Not sure why anyone would be against that. Did I expect them to cover it? Not at all. Was I very pleased to find out they would? Absolutely

    Farmers ;)

My family and I have been with em for years, and they've never led us wrong or screwed us in any way.

From what I hear their process is a little longer but aside from playing the waiting game I have no complaints against them.

haha mine kept being impressed by it. first when I told him where i'd taken it and he saw how well it mostly held up. second when I told him it was a baja edition which he didn't even know existed. then finally when I sent him a list of all the things I'd done to it to help increase the assessed value. Only accounted for an extra $1k or so in assessed value, but he was pretty excited about a lot of the stuff I'd done or planned to do after we talked about our rigs for a bit
