    I’d bet it would be better.

    This video does a good job of explaining why modern manuals have rev hang. It's actually better for the car to have that hang.

    I thought he explained that is was better for emissions, not necessarily for the car.

    Definitely sucks for MT driver. It was a new thing for me, but i learned to live with it. My ranger had cable throttle and it was great.

    Well at least im keeping the planet cleaner, ha.

    Rev hang isn't that big of a deal on a truck, though blasting around in my Miata I am glad for the old school cable throttle.

    @tonered.

    Does the rev hang still exist with the tune?

    It seems softened in 2.0, but is still there. Definitely minimal. There was a Rev Hang test tune recently that got good feedback. I had just loaded the 04B14 tunes, so I took a rare pass. I am not sure what is planned with that code.

    Rev Hang is BS though because it is artificial and inconsistent. The latter being the biggest problem.

    Death to rev hang, it's my number one complaint, pretty sure our clutches don't like it either.

    Why not drop an 8 cylinder Tundra engine in when doing the manual transmission swap?

    And rear disc brakes while you are at it.

    It does delay a shift at times, so I would agree.

    That said, we have CF clutches, which are easy on wear. I'd expect a long life.

    It is very incosistent yes, its a like a surprise every time you drive. Makes life exciting right.

    I noticed when i accelerate slowly, it hangs on to rpms longer. But when i punch it, it seems to come down quicker. Still a bit annoying, but i learned to release the clutch just a hair slower so it brings the rpms down a bit.

    Exactly, it's random.

    If it did it every time, i could adjust. It's actually when it doesn't do it that i get that awesome whiplash feeling. (Slightly exaggerated)
