You should have pulled off the tonneau cover and sold it on craigslist

There is some value to the whole Carvana experience.

    1. Look at how many people are impromptu selling their vehicle because of an upfront "fair" quote. It's the topic of this whole thread. When has that ever happened before. Prior to this it would be the same message I got from a dealer a week ago. "Hey, when can you setup a time to drive 30 minutes to meet us to have someone "appraise" your truck?"

Well, I bought the truck from you. I've gotten 3-4 oil changes since I bought it from you, two at your facility, and you did a recall on it about 1,000 miles ago. What more do you need to know when you already have the VIN number? I don't want to waste half my day sitting in your dealership trying to sell me something else before you give me an offer $5-6,000 less than Carvana offered at the start.

    2. LOW LOW INVENTORY. Carvana isn't storing tons and tons of inventory. Their nationwide inventory is online. They show it. You can buy it. You can also see the prices that pending deals are listed at. It's pretty darn transparent. How do you argue on price when it's as transparent as that.

    3. Convenience. Who even WANTS to test drive anymore. The whole awkwardness of having to be "interested enough" to get in a car to test drive and jumping store to store. In most cases, the person is going to love whatever they are test driving because they are already sold on the type of car before they purchase it.

Carvana is maybe holding 500-1,000 cars online nationwide? That doesn't cost a lot. The business model makes a lot of sense.

That offer is beyond stupid. I can buy a fully loaded NEW Ranger XLT double cab 4x4 locally for that. The era of cheap money is not going to end well for businesses or consumers. I'm sure some foamer with a FICO below 700 that washes dishes at the Sizzler will be all over buying a used one for the price of new because Carvana and car vending machine. There are the same people that pump $10 worth of quarters into a claw machine to win a .99 cent prize.

Been at this for a couple weeks, and just can’t let it go. Not very often you can drive a truck for a yr and sell it for a $4,500 profit. Last offer was 400 more than the last. Problem is I’m searching for a specific Gen 2 and having problems finding one that suits me

True but I had it listed as an option on the appraisal, and I don't have to deal with the tire kickers and no shows

Another one gone today to Carvana. 2020 trd 4x4 13,000 miles. Received all my down payment back I put down 1 year ago plus $500. It could not have been a easier process.

I was offered $1500 more than I paid OTD last September for my 2019 Access Utility package, with what I traded in I could walk away with $6500 to put toward an SR 4X4. But I rarely would even use the 4X4 if ever, around here we get icy snow and Ive has the pleasure of sliding around 360 degrees in a friends 4X4, if it’s that bad I just don’t drive. The dealerships don’t come off sticker much here either for the base models. I’ve installed OEM fogs, intermittent wipers, and Keyless entry. Never had to take the the truck back to the dealer for a single problem. I got the best deal I could get, wont ever get a deal like that again, have a truck I love, plan to drive it until either it’s done or I am, lol. Carvana doesn’t have enough money to buy my truck.

Same, I was looking to make some money, save and move back to a clean 2nd gen, they are just as bad price was with limited inventory, guess I'll hold onto the 2020.

    you are still leasing.

oh, and you’re leasing a Honda.

    oh yeah and it’s $417/month.

and oh yeah yeah, that ain’t a truck.

    for $30k+ and I’m bounded by a Honda I’m getting a type R or 6MT 2.0T accord.

I would kick my own ass if I ever bought a ridgeline, from any generation, no matter what the deal was.
