Okay so I just lift my 05 double cab 3 inches and in preparation to getting new tires I wanted to remove the mud flaps. When I removed the rear mud flap there was a very deep scratch along my fender where the flap had been. My Taco is silver so that black scar sticks out like a sore thumb! Has anyone else had this issue? and also any ideas on how to hide that while still getting rid of the mud flaps? Thanks in advance

Yep, same on mine. I'd get some touch-up paint from the dealer. There is several threads on here that discuss paint touch-up if you haven't done it before.

It is a type of pin strip tape, about an 1" wide so you will need to trim it to the pattern you want. It also has protective film over the top so once you peel the backing off, get the placement you like, then peel of the semi clear film and you are good to go.
Send me a PM with your address and I will get you 2 pieces out on Monday. No charge! :)

Great find LongBow. Is that something special or just pinstripe that a body man could get, I have some buddies that paint for a living.

I got this a number of years ago, if you can remember when Toyota trucks had pin strips (wide) on the hood.
In any case this stuff is top notch, I am using it and have sent it off for others to try. No bad reports as of yet.
Just went and looked at the backing of it, it is 3M Scotchcal. That is all that is written

u're lucky, i removed 3 of my mudflaps backing up onto a barge... didn't bother to put the front ones back on... any ideas on flexible mudflaps, ones that can take a 12 inch rise in reverse?

There are no aftermarket mudflaps for our trucks. Do what I did and take all of them off. I've seen sets of 4 selling on Ebay for $150+. Easy money.
