Sorry all I can think of is: "60% of the time, it works every time."

Being that I just got my Taco, no. But when I had my ZR2 it was a fairly common occurrence.

I stop and talk to Taco owners all the time, and have never been "snubbed", for that matter I usually talk to truck owners and we talk about how we like our trucks, I NEVER slam anyones rig, the stories they tell, the laughter and smiles are out of this world. Trucks are about hard work and function, there is a purpose for buying one, it is really cool to be in this group of people. Just today a guy stopped by my lab and was picking up some of our discarded concrete cylinders and was driving a Nissan Frontier, 4 door, V-6 NISMO package, nice truck and a real nice guy, we talked about how we like and used our trucks, he didn't care I drove a Toyota and I did not care he drove a Nissan, it was a good day. :)

I did last weekend and again last night. I usually only talk to guys that have something done to their trucks, I have been followed by other tacoma owners that wanted to talk but were scared to pull me over. I usually make a few weird turns and if they follow i pull over and shoot the shit. Normally they aren't as enthusiastic as I am but hey. At Lowe's I normally get stopped by older gentlemen wanting to know what kinda truck it is because I don't have any badging, I give them the grand tour.

As far as Tacoma's no... but I have to admit I chassed down a '08 Challenger when they were first out to compliment him on it... At first he was almost scared, afterwords the smile couldn't even fit on his face.

    A few bolts are different.
I was at the laundro-mat (sp?) sitting in the back watching Gone In 60 Seconds on my head unit when a guy pulled up in a Ridgeline, I laughed, he went inside, then I followed him to change my stuff to the dryer. You could see the anguish on this guys face as he puts his cloths in the washer while looking out the window at our trucks parked side by side. Noticing that, in his head, he wished he had gotten a Tacoma instead of the Ridgeline, I ask him, with a shit eatin grin on my face, "so hows the Ridgeline?:D

I have spoken with some other Tacoma owners also about the mods I have done when they ask but thought i would share that story cause it made me laugh that night

I have a few times if they look like they care about their truck.. if its all dented up with road dust on it nah.. but if its all dented with tree scrapes and mud all up the sides yeah.. lol or if the truck is really clean and atleast a mod or two... I had one guy that him and his GF chased me down to see what the hell I had in my truck (the V8 one) when I went by them parked LOL

    BUILT, not bought...
The guy at the gate for the drive-ins always reminds me how much he likes my truck.

I'm not very conversational, so of if I talk to another taco its basically me asking if they have done any mods underhood or in the cab.

one guy was driving an s10 and he was asking me how i like my truck and if i actually wheel it etc because he wants an older tacoma to build up...we sat in the gas station at the pumps for the better part of an hour b/sing about it

went to get some curbside at outback and on the phone when they ask what kind of car and I said tacoma the girl was like dont you love it. when I picked up the food she came out and we talked about our trucks. I had checked out her truck many times in the parking lot. Spread the love.

I also give a little wave salute when I see taco's on the road.

He doesn't count as a stranger, but my buddy across the street from where I used to live bought a Ranger right after I did. I drove mine into the ground and then bought my Tacoma. His Ranger was rear-ended and totaled, so he bought a Tacoma. Told him about this site a dozen times, but every time I see him he asks again what the URL is so he ain't on yet.

I like to give "nice truck" nods to people I see driving Tacos, most of the time I get them back, sometimes I get "who the hell are you" looks (easy to tell when the snowbirds are down here).
