I am going the UpTop route too, curious what is the need for the bravo over the bed? I went with just a Truss and am hoping it will be enough for the RTT

It's to level out with the cab rack. I have a CVT Mt. Denali and it is roughly 87". The long bed is about 76" from the rear window to the tailgate. This setup doesn't look so weird with it hanging of the tailgate so much. The 3-4 person RTT should not be a problem on the long beds.

    Afternoon all,

does anyone here have experience using RTTs with a family of four (both kids under 4 y/o)?

I have a DCSB, and I am flipping back and forth between getting a 4 person RTT that I know will comfortably fit the family, but won’t fit great on the truck, vs a smaller 2-3 person tent that fits better on the truck. Based on dimensions, I feel like we could comfortably fit into the smaller tent, but am hoping someone on here has some experience with this!

    thanks for the help.

It will be tight for your family to fit in a 2-3 person tent. Though it will fit better on your truck. Think of RTT sizes like essentially bed sizes with a few more inches. If you can squeeze into a full size bed then go with a 2-3 person tent. But you will be more comfortable in a 3-4 RTT whic is a queen.

Ya that makes sense. I’m looking for ones that match the bed length, so a width of around 55-60 inches. I think that should be good enough for our comfort level...this is where a 6’ bed would have come in handy haha

i have a cvt mt rainier that i use with my wife and 2 kids ( 9 and 7) if you are under 6 feet tall it works, if you are tall probably not. the 6' length of the tent works out ok if you split the difference over the cab and out the back, probably not as good if you are using a bed rack
