Make sure your bolts aren't shot though, if they are, the hardware store will have nice galvanized grade 8 bolts to replace them with. Nothing like a bolt seized inside of a leaf bushing...

 

Same. I tried to make a YT vid before but quickly learned that I can't edit videos for shit. My insta is mostly pictures of the pets.

 

I have to buy new bolts anyway. My buddy gave me his stock leafs after he lifted. I bought new shackle things b/c the frame I bought didn't have them.

 

I'm impressed with the folks that make money with stuff like that. Just not in my wheelhouse

 

Yeah, I feel like to make any decent money from it, you have to be filming/editing/coming up with ideas nonstop. Plus marketing yourself on social media and all that...
Granted, a lot of the bigger YT channels hire teams once they make enough money to afford it.

Do you have the leaf packs and bushings already? Just check ID of the hole and any bolt that'll fit basically. OEM is 17mm head but I think when we chopped the bolt off my buddy's truck we went to an SAE bolt.

 

Yeah. The bushing set is in a box in a room

 

No idea. Only greasable bolts I could find that had Tacoma were for 1st gen. Only TW thread I could find says M14 x 1.5 x 100mm.

 

Look at the shackle, measure outside to outside to get your length + some for the head and nut and a little extra.

 

Trail gear has some greasables but there's like 3 options and no mention of what years they cover. Each option is a different length.

 

I'm just gonna take that shackle part I bought and get a bolt that fits...……….or just look at exit offroad and find the size of the greaseable ones I ordered from them
