Lot of Canadians voluntary come here, for good reason.

We let a lot of Canadian Docs, and patients, in here. Check valve flows North to South but they let them back in. No shortage of visitors from Canada so apparently they don't have a problem escaping. And making purchases where they aren't taxed to death for social programs and will leave it at that.

The Boundary Waters- Canadian derecho in 99 knocked down a lot of timber across half of North America into Quebec. And has provided a lot of fuel for fires since then. The fires from the downed timber in the boreal forest is still a risk and each year comes South and we can't do much about that. New habitat for birds and wildlife though with regenerative growth so no complaints from me. Besides no since fighting Mother Nature and never has made sense to fight it.

Gotta watch the yellow jacket nests in the ground. Several years back, my Brother and I got into them @ the cabin. I got stung in my legs, he got stung in his chest and neck, swelled up terrible. Came a hellin off the hill taking him to the hospital where he spent the night. Dad was pissed, went over the next day and took care of the nest. They are nasty little bastards!

DO NOT like those little bastards, they'll chase you hundreds of feet to get you! They love to live next to the palmettos down here in the ground.. Had a run in with them in my much younger days hunting one day, with my older brother..

Yeah back in his day my Dad was a beast! Learned the hard way not to cross him. Still can hear the sound of him taking his belt off when I acted up. You know what? He made me the man I am today!

A little of this and a little of that.
    Good morning.

No shortage of craziness out there. Despite that, enjoy your day and be safe.

    Good Morning Folks
    Its Friday

We disturbed a nest last weekend. It was in a dirt pile thats used as a back stop for target shooting. I got stung just below the knee.

O'ya. Brings back many memories. I can laugh at now. Parents did a good job raising 6 boys.

When you roll them up on a loader and the rake destroys the nest they will be on the con-tower before ya know it.. I cleared the seat in seconds ran all the way to the front of the lot, 200ft, left the loader running and in gear at idle the rake stuck in the dirt, and still had one follow me out there and get me on the forehead.. Boss said be there in a minute, he was on the tower and back the loader up and shut it off, he just swated them off the seat so he could shut down!! We went back that night, little pickup with a 200Gal diesel tank with a powered pump, sprayed the nest, and lit a frawn, spayed it some more it was like napalm!! Big nest, they were dead all over the ground the next morning..
