Spent a nice chunk of change today ordering a new Leer fiberglass shell. Supposed to be in around 4 weeks from now. Can’t wait for the call that I can take the truck in to have it installed!

Yeah the luxury part of my ‘17 with the tech package was real nice. My father-in-law has a ‘15 and I was surprised at how much quicker he’s felt when I drove it while I still had the 3rd gen. One of the best parts of the change back to the 2nd gen is the monthly payments. The brand new 3rd gen was a fully loaded Sport=big monthly payment.

I probably wouldn't clean that with a scotch brite pad, it will remove the top surface of the paint and the paint won't protect the metal near as well as before.

easy peezy, pop the screws covers on the grab bar, remove the two grab bar screws and the cover just pulls out. It’s not even clip down low, just slid between the dash and the pillar.

I had a much harder time getting it back in than getting it out. Lining it up is a bitch...or at least was the last time I had it out. First couple times...easy.

I went out to drop the blower motor to remove debris and found it's a 6mm(?). I had a 8mm with me.
I came in ate pizza and had to go over a friends house because he was having computer issues.
I'll get that thing out today.

I eliminated a leak from the intersection of the wheel well, front fender body and the firewall..... some how in the intersection there was a hole, almost like someone pushed a screwdriver or something in there.... and it would seep out on the drivers side floor..... also took some Home Depot gutter guard ($4) and made a cover for the cab air intake...

Edit: apparently the lower area may or may not have been the only water entry point... after the corner was made water tight, the leak remained....some, so I have siliconed up the portion of the pass through where the wires come through the rubber and NOW my leak is stopped....

Perhaps some how when I was flattening the pinch weld, I separated something? That is the only thing i've done recently that comes to mind... and i really have not "tubbed" the well at all... I did take a few wacks... but with my 305/65/17 sized tires, i'm pretty good without tubbing anymore

100xr. I got the removable front slider so I can clean the sides of the windows between the cab and shell. The guy threw in the headliner for free too.
