Not gonna lie though, I 100% believe that there is some level of intelligent extraterrestrial life out there. Whether they have or will ever make the trip to Earth, no clue. More lyrics from Lil Dicky.....

    Girl what you sayin?
That all of the life in the universe happens to be where you stand?
    I guess
What an enormous coincidence that shit would be
Do you see what I'm sayin'?
    I can't hear what you're sayin'
    Well the universe always expanding
    There are infinite galaxies
Why would we be the anomaly?

I'm ok with them knowing I just parked my truck using the panoramic cameras in a dark parking lot illuminated by the LED lights, while simultaneously adjusting the power seat.

guy the technology is more than 10 years old........actually older than that

not every vehicle as the program..........never said they did

    brand name
    ' safe drive '
    ' wing man '

they can actively read standard road signs at speed

they can track a vehicle ' real time ' to a central location

on very serious or fatal accidents i know for sure in this neck o woods
the phrase ' future charges pending ' means ongoing investigation
    the vehicle already impounded

I know of 2 that were held for weeks ................ they were NOT at fault
    ( i rarely go 1st person anecdotal )

iv got a friend a Fleet Mgr that does this every day for thousand o vehicles & drivers

It is extremely difficult to understand what you are saying in any of your posts, but I think what you are getting at is that third party products which can be installed by entities other than the manufacturer can track you and that vehicles are held in impound pending an investigation?

    Sure. I’ll agree with that.

That thought is 100% wrong and dangerous. First, that data has value. Personal data is sold for billions. That data should not be free to collect and sell without explicit consent. Secondly, that is extremely dangerous to think that the data is of use for ANY overreach of power by whoever in the future. Would you let police randomly search your house? Data is being collected about you constantly from many sources, including the government, and used for whatever they feel like, as there is little or no oversight. That should concern all of us as free citizens. I deal with this professionally, and the amount of data collected commercially and by the government (or bought by the government) is incredible and scary, you have no idea. It is no joke and we should all demand this stop. I can't believe that people don't learn from history.

#shadowgate. With all the Intimate data they collect it's insanely easy to get people provoked and on edge.

Yes, but I'm in control of it. I can choose not to be on the internet, or leave my phone at home, etc. When it goes beyond the user's control is when it gets offensive.

I have major issues with vehicles that have direct cell or satellite connectability under the guise of offering tech features, which seems to be the ongoing trend (all seem to be offering in-vehicle WiFi now). Even if you "opt out" of these features, the hardware and connection is still there, and I am not sure what prevents a company from collecting and selling that info. As was admitted by one smart TV manufacturer, your data is more profitable than the sale of the TV itself. Same goes for most connected devices.

Ha ! You are good. I was the one who was swerving to avoid potholes. I made the comment that all of that data would come back to bite me some way, some how. You were / are correct that it won't be used against me in an accident, though. Unless, of course, I was swerving at the time of the accident (which I don't do because I drive too slowly!). I agreed with you.

My larger point is that all of that data will bite me somewhere ... most likely the insurance company! The good news is if the aliens come down here and see our potholes in NY at least they will understand and probably not hold it against me.

No, you're really not as much in control in it as you think. I mean, that genie is out of the bottle. Your data is being collected as we speak. You're connected, you're being mined.

Bingo. We have many customers that do the same then add our remote start (no OEM hardware needs to be removed). All that aside...the fact that you have to pay $96 a year to use your remote start app AND fob are baffling with respects to the RF fob no longer being able to remote start if you don't pay. Smart phone and app function, I get. That's a data device...but self destruct the remote start function and preventing the fob from being able to remotely start the car? That's like saying you didn't pay your cable TV bill, so the cable company is going to disable the volume up/down and channel up/down buttons on your TV remote...wait...what? Greedy Weasels.

Pulling fingernails. I'll have to remember that. How come u break up your sentences with the ENTER key rather than a comma or a period? It's really hard to follow your points that way.
